There are two entrances:
1. 13th and Cummings Drive is the main entrance.
2. Brunswick Middle School Entrance - top right corner of the parking lot. Trails - Yellow, Red, Green, White and Blue are all cross country flow trails AND good for running and hiking. Jump Trails - these are the only trails which are downhill only. Pleas

e do not ride up them. If you enter from the middle school entrance, Carlo's Inferno, Too Fast For Love and You've Got to be Skidding Me are all right next to each other. Trail difficulty for these trails is moderate to hard. Use your best judgement. These all drop you down onto the blue trail which takes you back to yellow and up the switch backs to the top. Goonies is further down Yellow and is more of a fast, flowy, downhill trail and longer than the others. Snoop Bermy Berm is a berm trail that's off the red trail. Bee Hive is on the inner yellow trail. It's a pretty sweet table top. Our email is: [email protected]

Temps are going to be in the 40’s today. Warm temps mean the several inches of snow still on the trails will start melting. Stay off the trails. It’s not worth it.

The only reason why you should come to River’s Edge right now is if you’ve got a fat bike, sled, snow shoes, cross country skis or want to hike. We still have several inches of wet snow on the trails making if difficult to ride anything. Plus, we’ve got some maintenance we’re working on.

It’s Giving Tuesday! Well maintained trails like ours require lots of up keep. We use donations to make structural repairs, fuel our equipment, replace broken tools, feed our volunteers and so much more. For as little as $10 you can help us keep these trails pristine. 100% of your donation goes directly back to the trails.

Ride For Your Life is a bike ride like no other. For three years running, cyclists and walkers have rallied in Washington on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims to demand changes from our national and local leaders that make our streets safer.

On November 17, we’ll be gathering again to retrace the route Sarah Langenkamp took the day she died and, this time riding downtown to a rally at the Lincoln Memorial.

This is the only annual walk/ride in our nation’s capitol focused on street safety, and we need you to represent people across the nation wanting to turn the tide on the national roadway safety crisis. Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin will be there to speak, along with administration officials who will receive our open letter with measures to improve road safety, along with civil society leaders from across the nation.

This year is unique: With the elections just past, we have an opportunity show the new Congress and administration the importance of this issue. Our open letter will describe life-saving measures like eliminating the matching requirements to use federal funds to build bike paths and sidewalks, and pushing forward proven safety technology in vehicles more quickly.

The Ride is an 8-mile slow roll (register here!) from Bethesda’s Wood Acres Elementary School. Our Walk (register here!) is an easy 1.4 mile stroll from Freedom Plaza down the Mall to the memorial. And if you can’t do either of those, just show up at the Lincoln Memorial.
Please join us!
In friendship, Dan

6 years ago today broke ground in our woods, creating some of the first progressive jumps trails in our area. Pete and Andrew gave me a concept for what they were going to build and I just had to sit back and trust the process. It definitely paid off. This’ll be a fun week as more memories from that build stream in.

Mother Nature took out the bridge at the exit to Hi-Line. One stringer is broken in half, and the bridge is leaning. Can’t ride this bridge until we can get it rebuilt. This will definitely put a dent in our trail fund. If you want to help us raise some money to cover repairs and to help cover other maintenance costs, the link to donate is below and open until Friday afternoon. All proceeds go directly to Rivers Edge.

Little shredder rock garden got a small upgrade. Would’ve loved to add more rock, but when Mother Nature didn’t leave you any, you improvise. More to fill in on a cooler day.
