Did you know that the Fried Pie Fest is brought to you by the Haralson County Historical Society? We started this awesome festival in 2016 in conjunction with the Tourism team from the Chamber of Commerce.
It has by far exceeded our expectations as have our expenses! To make this happen we raise money via sponsorships to cover things like port a potties, entertainment, insurance, permits, management fees, advertising and more.
Where do the profits go from this fest? The money we earn is used to maintain our historical records and properties, including the Buchanan Haralson Public Library and Courthouse.
Not only does this fest help with our historical needs, but it also brings a huge sum of money into the community. In 2023 we did a survey that estimated $300,000 was spent in Haralson County in just one day! Pretty Awesome!
