I LOVE when couples share their galleries with me 😍 I love it even more when they’re THIS 👏🏻 FREAKING 👏🏻GORGEOUS 👏🏻… There are so many beautiful shots from this day, even with me 8+ months pregnant made me look good 😂, but for now I’ll just share these 3 and tell you why I chose them.

1. When I ask about your vision and colors for your wedding, it’s really to help me choose what to wear. Black isn’t always the best option 😉 I try to aim for something that coordinates or blends in with your wedding party but also not make me look like a bridesmaid…know what I mean? I was limited in maternity options on this one but I love the way my dress went with her flower choices + contrasted against the moody PNW valley backdrop

2. I am not stiff or stuffy while I’m officiating. I will laugh with you, and keep you and your guests comfortable. Don’t get me wrong- I can be totally serious in my delivery when the time calls for it, but if the vows you wrote are funny or if your knuckles are too swollen to shove a ring on, it’s fine. We are human. We will get through it, together. 😂 Trust me, we WILL get through it.

3. Not all officiants do it, but I ALWAYS duck out of the way for your first kiss after I pronounce you married. Here is an action shot to prove it 🏃‍♀️😉 I even scope out my escape path ahead of time to be aware of any weird footings on an arbor, flowers, cords, etc that would get in the way. And now that I’m no longer pregnant, I move even faster 🤪 (the photographer also got shots of the kiss totally without me in them, I just wanted to share this one to show the exit happening 😂)

There’s 1 more thing that I ALWAYS make sure to do during my ceremonies that not every officiant remembers to do… Any guesses what it is? I’ll share the answer in my next post!

My LAST of the season is officially off in the mail! 💌
This wedding was special to me for many reasons. I’ve known the groom for years- when he asked me back in January if I’d officiate for him before he was “officially” engaged I OF COURSE said YES! Then, a couple weeks later when I found out I was pregnant he was one of the first people I told-because I wanted to warn him that I’d be 8 months pregnant and probably look like a hippo on their day 😂😂.He is one of the most genuine, giving, kind type of friend you could ever hope to know and when I met his fiance (now wife!) it was obvious they were perfect for each other. The amount of love they have for each other but also their family and friends was so apparent today….it was beautiful. The fall color scheme, amazing location, the prayer I read that her mother wrote, even a sky full of hot air balloons…perfection 🙌🏻
This one was also a little different because I wasn’t just there working, I was also a guest and got to catch up with old friends I hadn’t seen in a few years. 🤍
Now I’m taking the next few months off to welcome our long awaited Baby Girl Markley. 🎀

Todays couple literally sealed their marriage with a kiss at 11:11am 😍 We weren’t purposely aiming for that, it just magically happened 🍀

Only 2 more weddings this season before I’m taking the fall months off to have Baby Girl Markley. Although I’ve definitely taken on less this year, the weddings I’ve been lucky enough to officiate have all had such a variety of personal touches, romance, and sentimentality.

Here’s another marriage license signed and sealed, dropped off at the post office less than an hour after the ceremony. 💌

Check out how sweet and special this weekend’s elopement for L&J was….!
A definite perk for them choosing this over a traditional wedding and reception back in their home state was that they got to take photos all over the place in the Olympic National Park! Waterfall, lake, beach, woods… an entire afternoon with Essence of Us Photography capturing epic photos to match their epic love 🤍🌸⛰️🌲🌊

Elopement at Lake Crescent = Come home on a different route than we took to get there = This got mailed off in Forks, WA 💌 (aka the home of 🧛🐺 )

So many things made this one out of the ordinary for me, including:
•Bringing my hubby along to sign as their 2nd witness ✍️
•This couple flew out all the way from Michigan for their Olympic National Park elopement ✈️
•30 minute wedding taking about 13 hours start to finish 🤪
• working with the amazing Essence of Us Photography 📷
• my kids came along and played in the lake a bit during the ceremony 🤣💦

Bonus included of our “scenic route” detour for some WELL EARNED beach time for my guys 🌊🐚🪨 🦀

Little detour on the way home from today’s wedding to get their marriage license right to the post office! 💌 Today’s nuptials were the absolute perfect microwedding. Romantic couple who you instantly knew were so thankful to have found each other, grown kids that stood with their parents to commit to their new family, perfect weather and a beautiful secret gem of a hometown location! And I know their photos will be amazing because they chose superstar

I love, LOVE, L O V E when my brides share their professional photos with me! This wedding was during my wild 3 wedding weekend over Memorial Day. I was a little nervous for my first ever unity candle(especially when I realized my mistake of wearing this dress with bell sleeves!) , but after walking myself through the logistics a couple times and tweaking the layout to make it work just right, I was thrilled with the outcome during the ceremony. Funny how even though I’ve done so many weddings, I really do still get nervous now and then 😂 I may usually act cool as a cucumber, but I really am human, hahaha!

Does your officiant send you a selfie when they mail your ?? 💌📮

Not everything about officiating a wedding happens day-of. A lot goes into the prep before the big day, but after we sign the license at your ceremony I usually take it for you so it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle of the celebration day (& clean up!). Sending my brides a post office selfie is my last step of wrapping up their ceremony 🤍

Hello! Ive had a website and instagram for years now, but never got around to making a page. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
I’m an upbeat, personable, seasoned wedding officiant based in the south Puget Sound region. I am an ordained reverend of the Universal Life Church, and have performed services in Pierce, King, Chelan, Kittitas, Kitsap and Snohomish counties.
I have always loved weddings (literally always- starting around age 5!) and have found that this service that I can provide to couples really fits with where my heart is.
Although most officiants and celebrants fly solo, I almost always have an (amazing!) assistant with me. Together, Sammy and I handle all those tiny details like when to hand off your bouquet, making sure your dress is fluffed when you are ready to go down the aisle, and all those other minor details that are easily overlooked in planning. Over the next several months, we are expanding our offering to include more services, including day of coordinating.
We are always up for an adventure, and would love to chat with you to hear about your vision for your wedding day and ceremony!
