Each year we take the final Sunday of the year off to allow our staff and volunteers to take time to rest, reflect, and give thanks to God for the year that was. Join us for Christmas Eve at Open Life Church. This will be a service for the whole family together in the Performing Arts Center. The morning will be full of familiar Christmas songs, and an encouraging message on the Advent theme of Love, with moments mixed in for the kids to participate as well. Celebrate Jesus' birth, take a picture with the family, and get some goodies for the kids to enjoy... don't miss this amazing start to your Christmas Eve.

New Series Begins This Sunday

Every year at Open Life we walk through a series of messages at Christmas time called Advent. For generations, the church has celebrated Advent, which refers to the four weeks leading up to Christmas. Advent means the arrival of a notable person, and in our case, it’s when we remember Jesus’ arrival and anticipate his return. We will look back and look forward with great anticipation, being filled with hope, peace, joy and love this Christmas.

A bit of before and after of The Gathering Place office (future hallway,stairs and storage and Stage (future studio). Removed the glue from all the old carpet and took the wood down to all natural. We will stain it when the renovations are all done. Excited to have things moving ahead!

NEW SERIES STARTING THIS SUNDAY.
There is a powerful promise of peace for your life through faith, but this peace has a very real saboteur. For millennia, followers of Jesus have spoken of the “three enemies of the soul” - the world, the flesh, and the devil. But all three have dropped out of the conversation in the modern, western culture as well as the church. So often we struggle to experience the full life God has for us and our world, there’s a sense of opposition and pushback, from within and without. What if we take the time to walk through a series focused on uncovering the tactics and lies of the enemies of our soul, together unlocking a new sense of victory, freedom, and growth in our lives. This is that series inspired by the book “Live No Lies” by John Mark Comer.

Exciting News: Jamie Bello will be speaking at Open Life this Sunday! The Bello family are strategic partners that we support on a continual basis as they work to share the good news of Jesus to the people of the Dominican Republic. Our relationship goes back many years and we even had a ministry team visit the DR back in 2019. It will be great to hear the latest news of what God is up to in their ministry and be encouraged by what Jamie will be sharing.

In teams, we were able to split up 1750 pounds of bulk rice and oats into 830 small bags that will be available to clients of the Market during the month of May. While this was going on, we also had teams of people packing small packs of bulk spices so that families can make, “beautiful meals,” ...

SERVE SUNDAY!!!
What an incredible morning we had together. Over 800 bags of oats and rice packed for the Bonney Lake Food Bank, along with hundreds of single serve spice bags. It was a pleasure having Stacey and Cindy join us and share the story of The Market. Thanks for serving so well, Open Life!

Today we start a new message series at Open Life called, The Way of Humility.

In a world that is increasingly divided, holding firmly to their own personal ambitions, there is a way that is contrary, which Jesus demonstrates and encourages us to follow. The way of humility. A life of humility causes us to admit our need for God, then allows us to value and serve others in the way of Jesus. As we lead up to Easter 2023, we will unpack some practical ways of answering the challenge to demonstrate true humility to the world, just as Jesus did.
