The past weekend was a BLAST! Also got to put a special shooter in my place and work with her a little. I think Ellie Handa had a blast as well! THANKS Ellie! Have to say THANKS to my crew as well. Have to say with weather looking bad for Sunday, Summit Motorsports Park and the Div 3 NHRA managed to pull off the University Hospitals Cavalcade of Stars in its entirety before the sprinkles started. What an awesome weekend of Drag Racing and AWESOME people that showed up to watch! As ALWAYS, had a BALL!!!!

— Note for Edelbrock Super Series #1 —

There is a great deal of anticipation and enthusiasm surrounding the 2024 Edelbrock Super Series, perhaps more than I’ve felt in many years!

It all starts Friday, April 19, when we throw the gates open at 4 p.m. for our first Edelbrock Super Series Weekend of the year.

While the weather looks dry for the weekend, it’s going to be much colder than I would like, especially at night. The daytime high on Saturday is 50 degrees, however, temperatures will dip down close to 40 degrees by 11 p.m. or sooner. With that said, IF we have the car count I expect, we will run one time trial and go immediately into eliminations, which I estimate to be at approximately 3 p.m.

With a 3 p.m. start time, we will be able to complete two rounds before sunset. From there we will make the best decisions we can with respect to continuing our race program. As always, our goal is to complete every race we start, however, we must do so in a safe and equitable manner.

Well totally unprepared for an eclipse with more important things on my mind… grabbed the camera, no filters, or any guards for the sun’s rays, this is what I got out of camera. Still like the clean trailer for season opener and my son’s memorial waterfall. Can’t way to take a photo at night! lol

Anyone making it to southern Louisiana, Morgan City has the eats for you. Coonass Seafood LLC has a pretty good menu. Out of a 5-star rating, I give them 10! Food is AMAZING, good prices and down to earth & family-owned and operated friendly people. So any of you AMRA racers going to Bellerose for the Season Opener, this is WELL worth the 30 to 45 minute drive!!. Be sure to call or message ahead as you look at their page, they sell out a LOT because they are SO GOOG!!!

Well started my day Sunday on the road. Guess I got to Louisiana in time for Monday's early evening supper and the night Mardi Gras parade in Morgan City. I felt like I was home in Ohio! COLD!!!!!
