February 20th is Love Your Pet Day! Grab your coziest canine companion or your fuzziest feline friend and show them how much you appreciate the joy they bring into your life! 🐶🐱

Pets play such an important role not just in our connection with animals, but with other people as well! According to the 2024 "Pets Connect Us" Report, 83% of adults have interacted with someone they otherwise would not have talked with because of their pet. On top of that, around 90% of those surveyed said their pets have acted as an icebreaker or conversation starter.

Pets are great wingmen too😉 According to the same survey, 88% of adults said they were more likely to "swipe right" on a dating profile if a pet was featured in a picture. Did you and your significant other meet because of a pet? We'd love to hear the story!

Wedding days can be exhausting for all species, and the newlyweds can forget about their own well-being in the hustle and bustle! But, according to wedding-spot. com there are things you can plan ahead of time to save you some stress on the big day:

1. Sleep Well 😴💤- the best way to look AND feel great on your wedding day is to rest well the night before. We know the excitement can make you a bit restless, but do some calming activities around bedtime to ensure you get the best sleep possible. This could be a warm bath, or using products like lotion or candles with relaxing scents like lavender or eucalyptus.

2. HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE 🚰💦- one of the last things you’ll think about on your wedding day is whether or not you’ve drank enough water. That is, you won’t think about it until it’s too late. Drinks with plenty of electrolytes, like Gatorade or Liquid IV, will be beneficial when it comes to staying hydrated on your big day without downing bottles of water.

3. Schedule Downtime 😌🧘- Wedding days move fast, so, when making that to-the-minute schedule (we know you have one), add a few quiet moments in there just for you and your new spouse. A break to just sit in the moment and enjoy each other and the occasion. This gives each of you the chance to take a breath and savor how special the day is.

Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year that marks the beginning of the winter season. 🏔️❄️Although The Barn takes a break in the winter, there is the occasional early snowfall that turns the Collegiate Mountains around us into a breathtaking, snow-capped dream.

However, if winter isn't your thing and you've already got your sights set on spring, we've got that covered, too. The Barn starts back up in May, and there are still plenty of dates open! All Saturdays in May 2025 are booked, but there are still open weekend and weekday spots! Check out our May availability below:
