It’s a big day around here! First of all, Happiest of Birthdays to Teresa, one of our fearless leaders!

Second of all, today is our 5th anniversary as a company! As we reflect on where we started and how far we’ve come, we are incredibly grateful to all of our amazing clients who entrust us with their events. We work with the absolute best people from across the U.S. on many incredible meetings, conferences and trade shows. It’s been a dream come true for us and we thank you!

A big thank you also goes to our team - Sara, Tonia and Alyssa. You make every day fun and productive - and we love that we are a team of empowered women getting things done for our clients!

Finally, thank you to our families, who have always been our biggest supporters. Starting a business is no small leap of faith and has come with both successes and challenges. Knowing you are cheering us on every step of the way makes all the hard work worth it!

Cheers to 5 years and also to the exciting future ahead of us!

Sometimes a change in venue is needed to spark creativity! We’re enjoying the view of the lake and the blue sky (and a delicious mocha latte) from Buffalo Books & Coffee today as we work on finalizing online registration for one our client events. ☺️

We absolutely loved working with the amazing team with The Center for Food Integrity on their Transparency Summit, which debuted in Chicago this week! They are doing great work in the food and agriculture space and we were proud to be a part of it.

And as a side note, the hotel was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish - the hotel’s event and banquets staff truly shine!

What a fun week with two of our clients!

We headed to Florida to spend half the week working with the PEAK Powered by Midwest Poultry Federation Board of Directors on the strategic plans for its 2024 show and beyond. (Plus we had a little visit from a neighborhood gator!)

Then we’ve spent the other half of the week with the National Fisheries Institute on their upcoming 2024 conference.

Suffice it to say we’re in our happy place, thinking creatively and making sure we’ve got a handle on all the little details of these events.

Did we mention we have the best clients?! 🥰

The first half of this week we enjoyed spending time with our client, MPF … part future strategy for their event called PEAK, part fall business meeting for the organization, and plenty of socializing with this fabulous group of people. And oh yeah, we had a visitor swim around while we were out doing a scavenger hunt! 😂😂

What fun! Lara spent the morning at a local high school’s career day, talking about opportunities in event management. She tag-teamed with our colleague and good friend, Amy Sellheim, from The Harrington Company, an associations management firm. Careers like ours are not necessarily well-known, especially by high school and college students, so this was a great opportunity to share what we do!

Last day for Lara in West Lafayette … breakfast is set, coffee is ready, and the morning sessions for our client, Shell Egg Academy, will get rolling shortly. It’s been a great week at Purdue University and Beck Agricultural Center has been an excellent venue host!

Good morning from Lafayette, Indiana! We have dueling in-person events this week. Lara will be at Purdue University for our client, Shell Egg Academy and Teresa is heading to Washington DC for our client, the National Fisheries Institute!

Before setup at Purdue begins, Lara took a walk in downtown Lafayette this morning and found the cutest French-inspired coffee shop. She’s organizing her day with the help of a pumpkin chai latte and freshly made chocolate donut. 🫶🏻

Bring on September and exciting events for our clients Shell Egg Academy and National Fisheries Institute, along with exhibit sales dropping for PEAK Powered by Midwest Poultry Federation! (Did we mention we're busy? And in all the very best ways, we might add!)

One of the many joys of working on events is being there from the ground up to see it all come together. We are so proud of the work our clients are doing on behalf of their members and stakeholders and we're grateful to be a part of it all.

The skies over Orlando were pretty cool tonight - although this gave us some bumps! Now we’re on the ground but on hold for a gate because of lightning in the area. Welcome to Florida! 😂

We’re excited to work with a couple of clients this week - with a site visit in Orlando and then a conference in Palm Coast. It’s going to be a great week!

We couldn't be more thrilled to see the culmination of a client's new brand and reimagined trade show and convention for PEAK Powered by Midwest Poultry Federation! The folks at Midwest Poultry Federation hold a special place in our hearts and we are grateful to be the planning and management arm for this organization and their PEAK event. Our team is tired and yet still so energized after a fantastic week, bringing the North American poultry industry together in Minneapolis. This is one of our favorite weeks of the year!

And that's a wrap on PEAK 2023! Thanks to all who made it such a success ... attendees, exhibitors, speakers, track chairs, our partners at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Kelber Catering, Meet Minneapolis, our hotels, AVEX, G.L. Berg Entertainment, MicDrop Entertainment, and Q The Band.

We will be sharing more photos in the coming days from Coppersmith Photography, but for now, we're just incredibly grateful to play our part in connecting the North American poultry industry. Safe travels home to all and see you in 2024!

Our client, the Minnesota Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association, kicked off its 2023 MFV Expo earlier this month in a big new way for them. We helped them create a session all about agritourism and what it means for the growth of specialty crop growers and their farm businesses.

This moderated session included a keynote speaker who talked at length about all of the agritourism elements she and her family have created for their farm in South Carolina. After the keynote, a panel of Minnesota growers talked about what they do on their farms, what challenges they face, and shared advice they would give to other farmers. The panel also included representatives from Farm Bureau Federation Insurance who could speak to what growers need to be thinking about when they add these agritourism elements to their business.

It was a well-rounded look at agritourism – a topic that elicits much enthusiasm from this particular client -- that made audience members really think about their own farm businesses and pick the brains of all the panelists as well as those sitting next them.

We even added one panelist via Zoom, which can be a little dicey -- but we knew he would be amazing and handle his role via technology with ease. It felt like he was right there with us!

Thank you to Catherine Garrison Davis from Denver Downs Farm for traveling to the north country in January to share her expertise! And big thanks also go to Kris Huebsch, Bill Jacobson, Bradley Chmielewski, Casey Haas, and Wade Scott for being a rockstar panel!
