🫖💖 Brewing a Bright New Year! 💖🫖

As we welcome 2025, we can’t help but reflect on how incredible 2024 has been. It’s been just about a year since the idea of Wandering Tea Society first popped into our founders’ heads, and in just a few months, we’ll celebrate a full year of operations!

From a wild idea sparked by birthday tea dreams, to booking parties with our biggest fans—the Stoner Scouts—and creating color-changing tea magic, 2024 was full of surprises and growth. We even had the joy of booking a party with a friend we hadn’t met yet, and one of our founders welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world!

We are so proud of all the tea parties we helped make special last year, and we’re beyond excited for what 2025 has in store. New year, new goals! We’re dreaming of booking even more parties, introducing fun ideas like Tea-to-Go kits, and expanding our custom tea blend offerings. Who knows where this year will take us, but we’re ready for all the adventures and tea parties ahead.

☕ The Timeless Tale of the Teapot ☕

The teapot has steeped itself in history since its origins in China around 1500 AD. Inspired by wine pots and water ewers, the first formal teapots were the famous Yixing teapots. Crafted from red or purple clay sourced in the Yixing province, these elegant teapots became a symbol of the Ming dynasty. Their small size and simple handle-and-spout design suited the refined art of tea brewing.

As tea spread across the globe, Europe embraced the teapot in the 17th century, adding its own flair to the design. European teapots often featured ornate styles, crafted from porcelain and decorated with elaborate patterns, reflecting the influence of Western art and culture.
