Shea’s Summer Musical Theatre Intensive 2024 was nothing short of amazing! Over 80 young story tellers, along with a host of outstanding Teaching Artists and Staff wrapped an amazing 2 week intensive last night!

The Shea's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive is rounding out its second week and our Teaching Artists are thrilled to see the show coming to life on stage! The students of SSMTI wrote their own original musicals complete with original choreography, costumes, and props all in the theme of "Creature Chronicles: Lost Stories of the Animal Kingdom". Their final showcase is tomorrow at 6:00pm on the Shea's Buffalo Stage. Don't miss it!

Congratulations to one of our Teaching Artists, Grace Galipeau, on a FABULOUS opening weekend of Sister Act at The Historic Palace Theatre Lockport! Grace has been a Cast Director for our summer camp, Shea's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive, for 4 years now and we are so lucky to have her on our team. Grace, we hope that the rest of your run takes your audiences to heaven!

Today is the day! Connor Hesch and Tori Gill will represent the Shea's High School Musical Theatre Awards in the 2024 Jimmy Awards Ceremony tonight at 7:30pm and we cannot wait to see them shine! We hope that you will tune in to support these incredible performers representing Buffalo on a National Level.

Our fabulous nominees were graced with the most INCREDIBLE surprise on Sunday… The Jimmy Awards took all of the nominees and chaperones to THE TONY AWARDS!!! They got to witness the entire show and be in the room with countless Broadway icons! Thank you for the incredible opportunities that you are providing to these students.❤️

Last Saturday, we concluded our very first year of The STAGE (The Student Talent and Growth Experience). We could not be more THRILLED with how the week went. The talent and support of these 16 semi-finalists was an absolute joy to witness! The 8 finalists and 2 winners will be announced at the Shea's High School Musical Theatre Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. Congratulations to all involved!

Congratulations to our phenomenally talented staff members on their Artie Award Nominations! Alejandro Gómez, our Lead Teaching Artist, received a nomination for Outstanding Leading Actor in a Play for his performance as Roan in BLOOM. Jake Grear, our Arts Education Coordinator, was in the Ensemble of KINKY BOOTS which received 7 nominations, including Outstanding Production of a Musical. We are so honored to work with these wonderful individuals!
