"Relaxing Day At Bent Creek UHD 4K" Bent Creek begins in Hawkins Co Tn and flows for several miles through Hawkins Co in Bulls Gap TN until it reaches the Nolachucky River in Hamblen Co near Lowland in Morristown TN. My wife Brandy and I have been walking the old abandoned coal line (BL Line Railroad) in Bulls Gap and we've been fishing Bent Creek that follows the railroad. We have caught Bluegill, Green Sunfish, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass and more. This beautiful little creek also contains Trout and Catfish. "The History Of Underground Railroad" Harriet Tubman is perhaps the best-known figure related to the underground railroad. She made by some accounts 19 or more rescue trips to the south and helped more than 300 people escape slavery. Her life and character are an outstanding example of selfless dedication to freedom and the abolition of slavery. More recent scholarship has found that she made approximately 13 trips, and more significantly her work with the Union Army in the Department of the South resulted in the freeing of far more than 300 enslaved persons. She was born a slave in Bucktown, near Cambridge, Maryland around 1820 as Araminta Ross. She came to be known by her mother’s name in her early life, Harriet. At age 13 an incident occurred where she tried to interfere with the punishment of another enslaved person. "Historical Amis Mill Dam 1780" The Thomas Amis Historic Site (c.1780) and Amis Mill Eater are a destination in themselves. Home of the oldest stone dam in Tennessee, this property was constructed by Thomas Amis in 1780. Capt Amis hosted many famous figures including John Sevier, James Robertson, Andrew Jackson, Daniel Boone, Bishop Francis Asbury, Andre Michaux, and numerous revolutionary heros. The Eatery has 2 decks that overlook the historic dam and waterfall. The old Mill ruins are still standing and witness to an era gone but not forgotten. "The Eagles & Their Nest From The Railroad" I traveled 4 miles down the old BL Line Railroad coal line in Bulls Gap in the rain to capture some photos and videos of these magnificent birds the American Bald Eagle. I wasn't seen nor heard by the Eagles. I didn't want to disturb the Eagles in any way. I was completely covered in camo so the Eagles couldn't see me and it was raining so the ground was wet and I could walk quietly on the railroad and through the woods about 300 yards from the Eagle nest. I had my Samsung NX2000 mirrorless camera with my 50mm-200mm NX Zoom Lens to take pictures and videoed with my Samsung Galaxy A51 cellphone on UHD 4K. "There's A Storm A Brewing" I ran into a small thunderstorm about 8 miles down the old BL Line Railroad old coal line near Fish Hatchery Road in Morristown. I was prepared to set up a shelter using my poncho and walking stick. I have over 40 years of experience in survival skills. Thankfully the storm passed over and I continued my adventures on the railroad. "Two Bald Eagles & Their Nest" I was walking about 4 miles down the old abandoned coal line in Bulls Gap when I came upon an eagle's nest out in the field just off of the railroad tracks. The eagles were not happy with me as you will see in the video. They became quite aggressive at first flying near me making aggressive sounds. They didn't want to hurt me. They just didn't want me to come any closer because they were just trying to protect their nest. Next time I'm going to take my camera with my zoom lens and capture some photos of these beautiful creatures that live in Bulls Gap Tn. Enjoy the video!
