After a few months off, we participated in the 3rd Annual Silsbee Little League Cook Off! We had some rust to knock off and fought some generator issues, but we found a way to make our turn-ins. We walked away with:

4th Place Chicken
10th Place Rib

We are also celebrating our first Top 10 Finish Overall! Here’s to making improvements and adjustments as we go!

A huge shoutout to our favorite fan, Lillie Clark, for our splendiferous cookies!

Also, congratulations to our friends from Jasper County on their GC!

Yard to Table Barbeque never stops learning. Our new sausage making adventure is underway thanks to the Junot’s at Cajun Ventures! Their hospitality was bar none and everyone had a fantastic time! We can’t wait to sling some sausage!

For our final Meat the Team Monday, we’ve truly saved the best for last.

Introducing Mrs. Raylie Gray: the backbone of the Y2T team, a true Texas Barbecue Connoisseur, and our Head Chef. From coordinating team events to sourcing the finest Texas meats to endless hours of research and development, Raylie is the secret to Y2T’s success and is truly the king-pin of the organization. In the days leading up to our cookoffs, events, and gatherings, she’s sure to have every detail perfectly planned allowing the team to focus on delivering nothing short of the most premier Texas Barbecue ever produced. At home, on the road, and anywhere in between, you can bet that when Raylie’s on the scene, it’s her Yard and her Table.

Howdy, BBQ Pals! The Y2T Team has been hard at work, actual work, so we haven’t updated you in some time.

Two weeks ago we traveled to Winnie, TX to compete in the Trevor Lee Chesson Memorial Marsh Fest Cook-off! The weather made for a great day and the company was even better! With a few tweaks, we were lucky enough to walkaway with a 4th place rib!

This weekend we are to the TAFR Wild Game Cook-off! If y’all have any interesting or fun ideas for what to cook for our seafood and wild game categories, let us know!

This week, we’d like you all to Meat Mr. Colby Ratcliff!

Colby has been feeding us all since long before Y2T was formed and is likely the crew’s most seasoned chef! From best off the pit, to chef’s choice, to Dutch oven desserts, to drink entries, Colby never says ‘no’ to a jackpot and is always game to try something new. His culinary prowess is renowned in every circle he is a member of and Y2T is honored to have him as our foremost utility player!

Next up for this week’s Meat the Crew Monday is Mrs. Madi Askew!

If you were listening in at one of our cooking events, you’d think Madi’s primary job was running around hollerin’ “somebody give me a job” but any time spent watching would quickly show that she’s rarely without a task. Madi contributes to every facet of the Y2T operation: from photos and merch to pre-event shopping, to literally anything pertaining to list-making, she’s always there to help keep us organized and handle behind-the-scenes operations. In addition to this long list of tasks, she’s also the best hype woman around! Everybody, meet MVP Madi!

Meat the Crew Monday is here!

This week we are introducing Mr. Dalton Askew. Dalton, like many of the Y2T Team, grew up in Buna, TX on a well known and beloved Mayhaw Orchard. Years later, during and after his time in Aggieland, Dalton became the best of pals with the Y2T Crew! Dalton’s love of flavor, cooking and all things BBQ was contagious and quickly became our favorite pastime. Dalton’s cooking prowess extends from his perfectly seared, specialty filets to his spiked lemonades that we enjoy on those perfect Texas days! Everyone, Mr. Dalton Askew!

This weekend Yard to Table Barbeque took the scenic trip to Concan, TX to compete in Freedom Fest. For our first CBA event and with a total of 63 teams we walked away with:

3rd Pork
12th Brisket
14th Overall

The event was wonderful and we could not have asked for better weather! Congratulations to everyone who got their song played!

Meat the Crew Monday is upon us!

This week we are featuring Susi Ratcliff: our Main Mixologist and Margarita Maestro. Susi hails from the DFW area and fell right into the Y2T gang during our college days. Her multi-award winning beverages are a staple at our cook-offs and her creative contributions to keeping the team hydrated play a most welcomed role in our success (and make the shortcomings a little easier to cope with also!)

For the next few weeks, we will be showcasing the Y2T BBQ team with Meat the Crew Monday!

Our first feature is Mr. Reece Gray. In the olden days of Y2T, Reece set himself apart by showcasing his firewood-packing and trash-hauling skills. When he graduated to the grill one afternoon at the home-base in Cairo Springs, he found himself chunking a beautiful flaming wagyu across the Yard after catching the butcher paper on fire. After the team stomped it out, we hauled it in to the Table and it ended up being one of our best to date. And so, Yard to Table Barbecue was born. Now the only thing more iconic than his mustache is his brisket.

Yard to Table BBQ traveled to Spring, TX this weekend to compete in the Friends of Tri - Club cook off. The weather was chilly, but the event and the company made it worth the while.
