The Barn

History of The Barn The "Barn" started out as exactly that...an old dairy barn. Family room-type furniture provides relaxed seating and environment.

When my family bought it in 1977, it was the home to some black angus cattle for a few years and after that, it became a big self-storage unit that held everything we felt that we shouldn't get rid of, but should have. When my husband, Doug and I took over the farm in 1998, we kept adding our items to the barn for storage, but in 2010, Doug and our son, Sam started the tedious task of cleaning it

out and making improvements to it. A rustic bar was added, as well as stairs to a loft which looks over the whole barn. At night, it seems truly magical. So far we have hosted a Burgettstown "No-Class" Reunion, jam nights, acoustical events, and a Halloween movie night. We look forward to hosting more events. Though very rustic, it is a great place to kick back and enjoy a night.

Help me publish my first novel!

UPDATE: The editing of my novel, "4:3:2:1:00 - Countdown to Death Day", is now complete! I'm still working with my Publisher on the cover art, and it should also be completed very soon. We're hoping the book will be in stores this fall, so I'm planning to have a BIG novel launch party on the day it's released. The Majors will be performing, along with a few surprises, so Stay Tuned!
