A wet Texas spring, I started a dream on top of a old Massie Tractor that my 93-year-old grandfather was driving. My love for growing was cultivated by my grandfather, while harvesting his pink-eyed peas and tomatoes throughout my childhood. I spent a countless hours researching, a year testing, and Spring 2015 established Gilbert Creek Gardens that is located on my grandparents 3.2 acres.

Behind the Scenes update....

We are getting closer and closer to opening the new venue, and we are working on updating the website and information regarding the TWO separate available options.

Let me give you a few details -
1. The Smaller Venue (AKA The Creative Space) is our newly renovated room with the floral painting wall accent. This room can accommodate 34-45 people, and has a focal wall with unique one of a kind paintings and neutral walls elsewhere.

2. The Ice House Gardens (the large venue space) is our newly renovated (still ongoing) event space with an industrial modern vib. This space will accommodate a large group of people 100+.

When creating my Fall North Texas Prairie Wreaths I let the creative juices flow with local ingredients. These are beautiful and a perfect addition to your mantle. Shop these online or in person. With summer fast approaching and school ending soon we will be making great use of our creative space by offering a couple of engaging and hands-on educational experiences for ages 6-10. These adventure weeks will run from 930 to noon and offer kids a chance to deep dive into plants or bugs (my specialty)! Make sure you check out all the classes being offered like our Graduation Door Hanger Painting Class! Happy Spring Break!! We snuck out of town with @redriverroots for his work trip and got to spend some much needed mother daughter time! I didn’t get many photos but we park hopped through Austin & explored the city. We are grateful for the time spent but glad to be home! Thanks Tpaw & @gigi_maxwell for holding down the fort and watching our Ford puppy!
