Sadly, this will be the last week to purchase a local farmer's market wrap from us. All good things must come to an end, as they say, but don't worry - they'll return in the spring!

This Vermont floral season was one for the books (despite the dreary weather), and we're already counting down the days until these vibrant bouquets are back in our cooler. In the meantime, we will be making and offering our own market wraps, made from flowers sourced from around the world 🌎 🌼 If you've been considering bringing home a pop of local color, be sure to stop by this week while they're still in stock!

We had so much fun this weekend vending our fresh, handmade flower crowns (and more!) at the Vermont Renaissance Fair for the second year in a row! It’s truly our happy place 🧙🏻‍♀️🌸 Thank you to anyone who stopped by, we love meeting you and sharing the magic of flowers! 💐

Thank you all for an absolutely amazing Mother's Day weekend! Using flowers as a medium in which to express love, gratitude, and happiness will always be our favorite part of the job 💖

While we loved the opportunity to create beautiful and unique florals for all the mothers and maternal figures in your life, holiday periods like this take a big toll on us (we've been working overtime and had very late hours), so we will be taking a short little break to allow our staff to recuperate. We'll be back and ready to roll come this Wednesday (5/11) - see you all then! 💐

Happy Earth Day from the team at Wild Lark! 🌎

We encourage everyone to take some time today and reflect on how you can be a better steward for our planet. While we believe that big corporations, governments, and other groups/industries in positions of wealth and power are largely responsible for the decline of our planet (present and historically), we also know that unfortunately we as individuals can't do too much to force them to take responsibility (except voting eco-conscious candidates into our governing bodies - always make sure to vote! ✍️).

However, that still doesn't mean we can't make eco-conscious decisions every day. Every little bit helps, so think about ways you can work some easy changes into your life this year. Here's a few suggestions we came up with! ✨️

🚜 Support your local farms!

🛍 Shop local in general

🥩 Reduce meat consumption - even 1x/week helps!

👕 Shop second-hand for clothing, furniture, and more

🚴‍♀️🚌 Reduce your emissions by biking or using public transport when possible (a bit harder in Vermont, we know 😬). Car-pooling also helps!

💡 Turn off lights and electronics (i.e. fans or the AC) when they're not in-use

♻️ Reuse, Recycle! (Note: recycling is not as straight-forward as it seems. Take some time to read up on the recycling guidelines - doing it incorrectly can often cause more harm than good)

🥡 Reduce your use of single-plastic containers. There are some local stores that focus on this mission, like

🙋‍♀️ Volunteer with a group dedicated to one of the many various aspects of planetary stewardship

Love is in the air 💕 (also 7 - 13 inches of forecasted snow - we're probably going to be closed tomorrow!)

Valentine's Day is fast-approaching, and we've been busy little bees this past week (weeks, really) prepping for one of the busiest holidays in the industry! We've created lots of new styles for the holiday, which you can find and order on our website. Be sure to place your orders before the weekend, because supplies might be limited once we're that close to the 14th!

What a week! We have nothing but unending gratitude for the support of our community during these times. Making the decision to close to in-person shopping due to COVID rates was a difficult one, so we want to thank you so much for continuing to support us with your online orders and kind words. We love that we get to spend our days creating beautiful designs for you all, and then deliver that joy to your homes during these horribly cold days. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Happy New Years, everyone!

Our goal is to have 2022 be a year of growth for us and our shop. We have lots of creative, motivated minds on the team, and we're all excited to try out new ideas, products, and projects this year and share them with you!

Unfortunately, 2022 has already seen lots of growth in COVID cases as well. Experts warn that we haven't even hit our peak here in Vermont yet, so sadly it seems that it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

After much discussion, we feel that remaining open to the public is currently not in our best interest, nor in the best interest of our customers and our community. Starting today, we will remain closed to in-person shopping from now until mid-February. Hopefully this will not only help in keeping our community safe, but in keeping our team safe as we prepare for one of our busiest holidays of the year. We will reevaluate case rates again in mid-February to see if we feel it is safe to reopen, or if we need to remain closed to in-person shopping for a little bit longer.

We are planning on fully taking advantage of this time and working on some things to improve the customer experience when shopping with Wild Lark! Our website will be updated within the next couple days to reflect all of our new and current inventory, so be sure to check her out and shop around from the safety and comfort of your own home.

We do want to encourage all of our customers to shop online with us, as we will still be offering pickup and delivery of all your favorite products (florals, plants, and gifts)!

We hope to see you all again in February 💝
