👋 I’ve been a little quieter around here lately. Winter months are often the time when your vendors rest + recharge in anticipation of spring weddings, as well as dream up creative designs and inspiration for our couples in the coming year. It is also a time to reflect, grow, and re-emerge as our best selves.

Valentine’s Day is almost here 💕 Here’s what I love about weddings and planning weddings. All of them are unique and different. I love that every couple I work with has a unique style and vision and that’s what makes my job fun. Moody? Colorful? Boho? Modern? I am here for it. As a planner, I don’t believe in subscribing to a specific “style” or “look” in my design and styling process for my couples. It’s why you’ll notice my Insta account features all different kinds of vibes and not just one! I’m here to be open to push creativity boundaries and limits, so I can bring YOUR vision to life. In November I made one of the best investments I have EVER made in myself and that was attending . I haven’t talked about a ton on here because it has been hard to put into words what I walked away with because it was SO much. What I do know is teaming up with other badass babes to laugh, create, drink lots of rosé, and deeply learn from one another filled my heart and soul to the brim. I left bursting with ideas and inspiration to pour into Grandest Gatherings and my couples in 2021. Now that I’ve had time to soak it all in, I am excited to finally share some of the magic I made while there like this gorgeous tablescape and floral installation.

Here’s a pro styling tip for all you beautiful brides-to-be out there. Neutrals are always classic, but by choosing a bold tone and pulling it through your design let’s you put a twist on a classic palette. Here, it was deep burgundy tied in through the intentional decision to use darker chairs, goblets, and floral accents.

When I look at this photo I have so many emotions. I planned my first bicoastal styled shoot this past month and poured my blood, sweat, and tears into it. It’s easy to see this photo of these amazing humans and gorgeous setting and overlook the countless hours of prep work that went into this. Sourcing rentals and new vendor friends in a new market I wasn’t as familiar with, figuring out how to manage flowers for a multi-day excursion to the backcountry of the Sierra Nevadas, carrying disco balls, bud vases, and taper candles in my carryon luggage, spending hours location scouting trying to find the perfect spot to nestle this table into the hills so it looked intentional, carrying this table into the desert and all of the pretty things on it, watching the snow fall on the mountains while styling the scene and being moved to tears by the beauty of Mother Nature but also because of the sheer cold. My friends, as a creator I pour my entire being into my creations and I can tell you they do not come easy. I am so lucky to have met who is one of the most inspiring, talented and down-to-earth photographers in the biz. Her work speaks for itself. I’ve taken a step back from posting this past week not only because I was creating, but also because I want to love what I’m putting out in the world. I want to inspire. I want to educate. I want to showcase my unique point of view. When you a trying to move mountains and push boundaries, it’s important to have people like this crew surround you who want to do move them too ❤️

Ally + Joey did not cancel love. Despite having to push their larger 2020 wedding celebration to next year, they still found a way to celebrate their love. And while you may think, “There’s no way anyone actually has a wedding ceremony and styled picnic on top of a mountain,” I am here to tell you friends that yes, yes you can. Complete with champagne and a boojie charcuterie board. My advice this Friday is this—don’t cancel or postpone your love. Choose a wedding day that is different and exciting, because why wouldn’t you celebrate your marriage in a way that is as adventurous and unique as you two?

Ok, so I know there are “rules” for tablescapes and place settings at least according to Emily Post. But I say, the hell with the rules. If you want to play with a funky napkin fold, go for it. If you want to layer untraditional plates, why not? If you want to mix up where your utensils go, um YES! Your wedding or elopement day is exactly that. Your day. And if you want to break tradition, you can! No one is stopping you. Certainly not me 😌

🚨 Soooo....big news over here on this dreary New England Monday. Drumroll please 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 🥁 My work was published over !!!!! Say waaaat?!? When I started my business just a few short months ago I never would have dreamed of things ramping up so quickly. From meeting so many amazing people like the team behind this shoot, to booking my first couples, to getting published, it has been a complete whirlwind. This year hasn’t been easy but there is nothing more rewarding than working towards something you can call your own. I love a good challenge. Like finding a beach or a mountain to setup a gorgeous tablescape. To embrace the elements, not fight them, like the wind blowing a piece of chiffon perfectly or the sun hitting the crystal glassware just right so that it twinkles. One of the things I love most about elopements is how they intentionally and beautifully break wedding tradition in the name of authenticity. Elopements at their core are rebellious weddings; bold statements of couples choosing to make their wedding day completely unique and distinct to them and their story. But in the process of planning your elopement, you might be wondering what exactly your elopement day should include? What goes into an elopement ceremony? What unique eloping ideas can you incorporate into your day? How do I create the setup of my dreams? The pressure to have your elopement follow some kind of formula can be intense. I’m here to let you know that it’s okay to throw the rules out. I believe in being a resource to all of my couples as they plan and navigate the elopement process for themselves.
