We are bringing back the in-person SMQA class! Great hands-on class and alternative to the boring online version. Reminder that all members showing market animals are required to take the SMQA class twice between the ages of 8-13 and then once more at 14. If you have any questions please reach out to Melissa at the Extension Office. If this date doesn't work for you don't panic there will be other classes available at later dates and those will be announced at a later date. Hope to see everyone there.

UPDATE-

Steer Weigh in for Bates County Fair will be March 9,2025 from 1-3pm at the same location as last year across from MoKan Livestock
Market in Passaic.

We will be pulling hair DNA for the State Fair that day. All calves must have 840 tags in their ear. We will not pull DNA if they don't have the 840 tags in their ear to send into the State Fair. We have to have that number in order to send in DNA to the State Fair Office. We will still weigh them, but under the new law, they have to have them in their ear and health papers prior to any show they attend.

All first-year shooting sports enrollees must take 6 hours shooting sports safety course.  The date for the class this year is February 22 starting at 9am and finishing up around 4pm.  If you have not enrolled yet and are planning to enroll in shooting sports, you must enroll by February 14 so we ...
