The first Independence Day since ABSOLUTELY MUSIC/Four Guy In Tuxes has closed its offices.....and I can assure the Greatest Audience in New England, the Nantasket Beach Audience, that they are in excellent hands with Barry and Judy DeRossi keeping it dancing, and celebrating our Nation's Birthday!

To all of our Patrons, Fans, Supporters, and most importantly, FOUR-Heads:

It’s official (and this announcement is ‘way overdue)…

The Absolutely Music/FOUR GUYS IN TUXES office is closing its doors, after providing Quality Music for Corporate, Private, Political, and Charitable events since 1983.

This decision has been made due to reasons of health concerns relating to the Guy on the Business Cards (he’s doing fine, incidentally), his increased (happily) obligations at the Hogwarts of Music, and of the changing nature of the economics of this office’s corner of the Musical Marketplace:
We want to do lucrative business in an environment in which we’re comfortable, playing the mix of Musics that we enjoy and at which we excel, and that is no longer possible.

The phone numbers of all three of our locations have been disconnected, so please hang on to your business cards as curios/mementos/keepsakes, but don’t call the numbers (especially not the Newport number), as whoever gets them next will be really annoyed.

If the Guy ever figures out how to digitize (and edit out the bad stuff; hard to believe that there is any, I know) the hours of FOUR GUYS concert footage that have been provided to us by various arts councils, chambers of commerce, local-access cable channels, and some extremely generous friends (Hartley Pleshaw, Gerry Goss, and the First FOUR-Head, Mr. Ken Chin, among them), that footage will be posted here, and on the Guy’s personal FB page (which is completely public, by the way, feel free to check it out any time)…
…and who knows?
There may even be a YouTube channel dedicated to it, as well.

The Guy on the Business Cards (who loves Nantasket Beach and the Nantasket Audience, the Greatest Audience in New England, more than mere words can express) sends his sincere regrets that, due to an unexpected health problem, he cannot be there in person, but I WILL be there in spirit.....and if you dance your brains out, I'll feel it.

God Bless Gina, Tony, Louis, and all of the Nantasket HEROES who have kept this thing of ours, all of ours, going.

OOPS!
We thought you all knew this, but just in case:

FOUR GUYS IN TUXES will not be appearing this afternoon at the Bernie King Pavilion at Nantasket Beach, in Hull, MA, making it the first Labor Day appearance that we've missed in 30 years.
This is, of course, due to public health considerations regarding the Wuhan Flu, which I have every confidence will be only a memory by the Summer of 2021.
Stay healthy, stay patriotic, don't forget to VOTE in November (it's not only your privilege, it's your RIGHT, and you have a responsibility to exercise it).....and we'll miss you.

Dear FB Friends, Four-Heads, and Lovers of Good Music,

It is with a somewhat sad but entirely pragmatic heart that I announce that, due to the current Wuhan Flu Pandemic and its necessarily-attendant public health procedures, FOUR GUYS IN TUXES will not be making our annual Memorial Day appearance at the Bernie King Pavilion, Nantasket Beach, in Hull, MA.

This was not an easy decision at which to arrive, as it deprives my Matchless Musicians (and their Humble Bandleader) of the pleasure of performing for the greatest audience in New England…
…but, ironically, the maturity which gives the Greatest Generation, and the Boomers, such excellent musical taste and great dancing skills is also the very maturity that places that audience in the “high risk” category.
You all are precious to us, as, without such an appreciative audience to perform for, we are nothing.
(In fact, we’re worse than “nothing;” we’re UNEMPLOYED.)

Stay safe, stay well, and hold a good thought for the Independence Day Weekend:
Any announcement in that regard will be made here, so watch this space.
