We just wanted to shout out a couple of fellow businesses today. Old State Saloon, right here in Eagle, ID and sworn_loyal_tees. Both of these wonderful companies are promoting God, country & traditional values, and they deserve our dollars! Was honored to be given this awesome "American Mom" shirt during the saloon's "Heterosexual Awesomeness" month. Also wanted to shout out my own American Mom, who taught me to stand firm on a foundation of Christian principles & to always speak truth. She is the absolute back bone of the family, and this business. 🥰

Joining the celebration of rainbows again this year, with God's promise rather than man's pride. He loves us so intensely that He made a commitment to every living soul on the earth, to withhold deserved judgements & choose grace, unwilling to let us go. It is a living, visible paint stroke of His faithfulness, that He will continue to give us rain, sun, provision, & every chance to grab a hold of His son & eternity with Him.. The deepest and truest form of love. ❤️

PARKING! We know that change can be confusing. We want to continue to see peace, unity & a good natured attitude in our community . We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to be a part of the Treasure Valley, where traditional family values are still precious. We are hopeful this transition is as smooth as possible & full of love and grace for one another. We are truly a blessed city & would like to focus on all we should be grateful for. In that spirit, we created an info graphic to help!

This is our understanding. Please see the City of Caldwell website for a full guide & map. Pickups or walk-ins selecting pre-mades from our cooler are able to be helped within the free 15 minutes. We can even adjust a pre-made to your liking in that time frame. There is parking that is free for THREE hours on the corner across the stree from us, behind the World Harvest Church.

This system is helping customers access our businesses more readily. In the past, many spots were occupied the entirety of a business day by a singular car. Customers were parking far away & walking long distances. Free parking in any space for handicap placards are making it possible for those with mobility issues to access storefronts. If paying for a close-in spot isn't a priority, parking a long distance and walking (day long free parking behind the rail road tracks), is still an option.

The truth about wire services. 𝐀𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫. We DO have the specialty containers for this Christmas. We will be ordering in some very neat containers from other sources, which will be able to be seen on our website, & we will be sharing new designs on our social media. This article exposes the secrets of the giant coporations strong arming the small floral businesses, and preying on the pockets of consumers.

We wanted to shine a little light on wire services & "order gatherers" who have seemed a necessary tool we've been forced to utilize over the years. Times (and tech!) are changing & many florists are realizing they are able to step away from these middle men. Big name floral sites such as Teleflora, FTD and 1800Flowers take 20-30% of your money, and always send the orders to a local florist. Going direct to the florist will give you an arrangement that is 20-30% larger. Middle MIDDLE men, such as From You Flowers, Avas, Ranch Florist and Just Flowers take your order & then go through a wire service such as Teleflora, before sending your order to a local florist. Now you have an extra set of hands in the pot. You pay them extra, then Teleflora takes 20-30% out of whats left, and the florist is left with so little you may receive a $35 arrangement when you payed $80. Whats more, is the florist routinely is given a written description rather than seeing an image of what the customer saw...which makes it nearly impossible to recreate. We have rejected most wire orders over the last few years & have accepted only a handful a month that we felt were fair to all parties. At this point, we pay a membership for the privilege of ordering specialty containers that are priced above the average market value.

It has gotten so out of hand, and we are not comfortable being a part of these increasingly predatory companies, as we feel customers are taken advantage of. (Floranext, who wrote this article, is simply a web design, point of sale company we utilize for our order taking software.)

Floral wire services have been around for decades, providing a way for customers to order and send flowers to different parts of the world. BIG NEWS!

Our new little baby biz is getting some legit attention from the big wigs over They partnered with (attn: ) to create a list of America’s Favorite Mom and Pop Shops. We came in at number 14. We’re extremely proud of our team and thankful for the community’s support for our first year.

We just received accolades for Idaho’s Best Coffee Treasure Valley (2nd in idaho state), but now it’s the leather’s turn. Not gonna lie. I thought it was a scam email at first 😂 We just feel under the radar most days since we’re so new, but someone’s watching. This is an incredible compliment to us, our craft, and the brand we’re growing. If you’re a newer follower, or don’t yet know us, here’s the “blurb” we handed over to the magazine:

Our story? We’re still writing it, but it all started when the world stopped turning in March of 2020. Bond & Bevel was born during the pandemic when we had more down time on our hands than usual, like most of the rest of the world.

We took a short break from being custom home builders to learn leather craft. When some makers start with a wallet or other small items, we jumped in head first. Heath has always wanted to own a handmade, full grain leather bag, so we bought a hide, some basic tools and started hand sewing his first satchel. It’s evolved a little, but we still have the Rugged Satchel on our shelves today.

Adding one piece at a time, we slowly started building our arsenal of tools, converted our home garage to a leather workshop and added a new product to the lineup every few days.

Krista decided to document it all and kind of just fell into product photography and eventually web design. Relying mostly on , at first, we grew by telling our story, one post at a time. It became second nature to weave our faith, family and craft into one simple, but relatable story. Transparency has always been the forefront of our brand. We try to never be something we’re not. We don’t have it all figured out, and we’re the first ones to admit it. We try to encourage others along the way, so thank you for reading.

We are a bit slow to share, we've finally gotten through the season of mad rushing about, and wanted to thank Freedom Payments for partnering with us at exactly the right time to help us save more money as a small business in a time of inflation and economic uncertainty. Their payment services have made a HUGE positive impact in our sales margins, and they are extremely wonderful human beings! AND they donate a portion to veterans, which we couldn't love more! They came in personally over & over to set up the techonology, tweak it for our needs, and teach us how to use it. 1,000% better than faceless foreign corporations who rule the CC processing arena. These guys are right here in the valley, if you own a business I highly recommend. Their equipment is set up to do all the modern things, easily. 😁😃

The last few years, June has turned into a month full of rainbows 🌈 — We want to take the opportunity to share what rainbows mean to us. This is not a commentary on the beliefs of others, but a chance to spread what is real to us as Christians; a symbol designed by our creator to represent His love, grace and promises. We strive to be obedient in being both light (love) and salt (truth) as image bearers of the Lord. Gods rainbow invites us in to get to know Him more. Our little is growing up at our shop, & attending vacation Bible school. The theme has been Wizard of Oz & our week has been full of rainbows. And you know what, we love them!

Remember the reason we celebrate Easter. Bunnies are certainly a cute part of God's creation, but His victory over the enemy, & over death, His willingness to not only be physically tortured, but to bear the burdens of all sin & anguish over the span of this current, fallen existance on His shoulders... is so much bigger than we often pause to absorb. I am not as good with my wording, so I'll share a fellow downtown business' words on the matter. HE is risen! Also, check out their worship night this Friday!

Help needed for February 6th-15th, daily, from 10-5. We will need someone to answer the phones & handle walk-ins. Valentine's is our 2nd busiest week of the year and we will need to stay designing to fill orders. Will need to a come in a few (paid) hours on a couple of days the week prior (at your convenience) to learn the computer systems. Potential to evolve into a more permanent position. Good opportunity to see what working in a flower shop is like & get your foot in the door in the industry. This is not a design job, but as part of the experience we will spend some time before & after Valentine's Day teaching you design skills if you are interested in the potential of doing floral work. Must be very competent w/computers and able to work at a fast pace and multi task very well. It will NOT be slow and if you are easily over whelmed by a crazy rush, this is not the job for ya. That being said, it's a blast and we provide lunch during the craziest days and have a good time together.

Over the years, many of our customers have become our friends and we look forward to chatting with everyone who walks through our doors. Without the love of our community & the blessings of God, we'd never be where we are today. We are just a couple of small town country girls, and a lifelong floral family, I suppose you could say it's in our blood. 🥰😜

Starting Monday, 10/17 our new hours will be 10AM to 5:30PM, MON- FRI. We are opening an hour later, but are staying open an extra half hour in the evenings. We have been finding it difficult to keep up with filling orders we have taken, while frequently stopping production to take orders via phone & walk in (we are the definition of very small, local business with our two designers also serving as our customer service.) We are hoping the extra hour in the mornings will help us catch up with production prior to interacting with the public, so that we can give our full time & attention to customers when they stop by or call in, and also give enough time to creating beautiful product for the customers whose orders have already been placed. We are grateful for the continued support and growth of our business in our lovely community, and thank you for your patience. We check voicemails every morning and give call backs prior to accepting new orders for the day if a phone # was left. We manage our own website at www.caldwellfloral.com where deliveries & pickups can be placed until 11AM for same day if you would prefer to go online rather than call in. :)

GET YOUR ORDERS IN EARLY FOR MOTHER'S DAY! As has become the norm the last few years, things are a bit wild with suppliers and demand has been high! We have many pre-orders for Mother's Day already! Try & get your orders in by Tuesday to guarauntee a delivery slot of Mother's Day week!

Go to our website at www.caldwellfloral.com to place an order! We our short-staffed for the demand & we may not get to the phones, but are calling anyone back within the hour who leaves a voicemail.

If one of the designs on our site does not tickle your fancy, you may also choose "Custom" at the top of the site directly beneath our logo/shop name. Here you can choose a price point & fill in what style and colors you would like. You may request specific flowers, but we may not always be able to accomodate. If there is any issue with your request, we will give you a call to confirm what it is we can do for you on a custom online order.

Orders placed after Tuesday are more likely to have more substitutions on flowers, but keepsake vases will NEVER be substituted as we are doing our best to keep up with pulling vases as they are ordered. When substituting blooms, we make sure to match the vase, and do our best to maintain colors, style and shapes of flowers present in the photos.
