Taking inventory of my time and emotions given to business lately. I’ve craved intentionality for a long time now!

How much am I worrying about Emma K Photography? What boundaries do I want to stay inside of when saying yes or no to a job? Do I protect time off? How do I help myself into the best mindset to serve my clients? Am I proud of the quality in every area? How do my clients walk away feeling when all is said and done with their experience? How often do I want to be active on social media? Do I want the next level of the industry? Do I want to speed up? Slow down? Can I even financially afford to choose?

The questions go on forever. I’ve pushed them away or changed my mind. I could feel burnout around the corner, and I want to find answers I feel peace with! Here’s to a year of looking within, and finding more intentions with each day 🥂

If you’ve experienced a mistake of mine, a learning curve, a moment you’ll smile at for the rest of your life, a genuine laugh, or anything in between, thank you for being part of it all. Thank you for allowing me the space to learn and love!

Hello friends, old and new!

Wanted to show my face and welcome everyone new to this account!

I’m Emma, I’ve had Emma K Photography up and running for 8 years, and my passion for shooting weddings is ever-growing 🤍

My days have been filled with settling in to marriage (.estrada and I got married in Oct!), editing, projects on our new place, and working a few hours a week at a local home/floral shop that I adore ! Oh and taking too many photos of our kitten…photos will be DMed upon request 😉

From the church, to the park, to watching the sun set over the city with their people

I’ve never been one for new years resolutions. However there is a natural draw to reflect and reevaluate that I welcome.

I reflect on the surprising parts of 2023, the hard parts, the best parts, the lessons.

I reevaluate what I’ve been prioritizing, where my mind has been, my heart.

This time around there is a deep sense of resilience. Resilience despite the overwhelm, the ways I was humbled, the anxious mission I was on to “keep up” with my business and how it is run. The comparison, oh that old friend of mine.

There was some pulling back, to search for patterns and weak spots. Plus there was the whole getting married thing that took some of my focus 😉. And honestly, there was self doubt and fear.

I will pray over 2024. I will keep an eye out in 2024. I will ask for boldness in 2024. I will come back in 2024. Back to why I do it. Back to what I want. Back to work. While also remembering to go back to rest. And the hardest of all: back to patience. With myself, and my goals. Expectant patience, if those two words can be put hand in hand.

My life for the next 11 days is packing! Currently packing for Sedona, then packing for my wedding, then packing for my honeymoon.
