Kathy Raley Ellis is a hometown resident. After living in Virginia and Florida, she married her husband, Don, and convinced him to move back home to Maryland. They are both retired but that doesn't stop them from staying busy. Between juggling her home life and volunteer schedule she stays active and busy. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, wine tasting, bird watching, and flower gardening.

Growing up on a picturesque farm in the 7th District, Janet Phetteplace learned the value of hard work early on. From toiling in the to***co fields from sunup to sundown to tending a one-acre garden, these formative experiences instilled a robust work ethic and a deep appreciation for the land.

Janetโ€™s professional journey is marked by a commendable 39-year tenure with the UFCW labor union in Washington, DC. She recently retired on March 1, 2024.

Janet enjoys various hobbies, including dancing, softball, volleyball, hiking, pickleball, and the beach. Whether hitting the beach or working out at the gym, Janet embraces an active lifestyle. Family is at the heart of Janetโ€™s life, she will be celebrating her 39th wedding anniversary in November with her wonderful husband. They raised 2 hard-working boys, and have 2 bonus daughters-in-law, 5 gorgeous grandkids, and two beloved fur babies.

Janet prioritizes family and community and cherishes every moment spent with loved ones. This rich personal history and professional dedication make Janet a unique and invaluable asset to our team.

Welcome to The White Rose. We just opened in May 2022 and are located in Callaway Maryland. We are about 53 miles from DC, 82 miles from Baltimore and 66 from Annapolis. We would make a great destination wedding. We have the Patuxent and the Potomac River just a few miles away. We have a very quaint town called Leonardtown with a hotel, retail, restaurants and bars. A great place to stay and everything is in walking distance. That location is about 12 minutes away from out site. Its a little slower then the city but you get so much more for your money and you might just be a little less stressed on your big wedding day. Breath some clean air and visit St. Mary's County! We still have a few dates left in 2023 and booking 2024. Come down to our Bridal Show on February 19th at 1:00 to 4:00 pm. You won't be disappointed. Would like to welcome Dawn on the Chesapeake, LLC to the 2023 Wedding Show on February 19th at The White Rose in Callaway MD. At the White Rose some of our couples get married in a church or inside our building but we didn't have a outside spot. So we have teamed up with Dawn on the Chesapeake for those who want the best of both worlds. Ceremony outside and a beautiful setting to get all those wedding photos taken with water view. Then back to The White Rose to heat and AC with no bugs or weather issues to worry about. Also knowing that the room was setup the day before so day of wedding is all about family, hair and makeup and enjoying the journey!! Don't forget to signup at whiterosehall.com.
