Join us for the 43rd Annual Wings Over Camarillo Air Show | Car Show | STEM Aug 17 & 18, 2024 Kids 5 and under are FREE! Kids- Bring your parents!

The Camarillo Wings Association will host this year's "Wings Over Camarillo" Air Show with support from volunteers from the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, EAA Chapter 723 and the Ventura County 99's. An expanded Air Show flight demonstration features many popular aerobatic routines with over 80 aircraft; including vintage planes, experimental, and WWII fighters, bombers a

nd transports. The Air Show features public access to the planes, pilots, and crews. Come for the day to watch and walk among the planes, take photos, and ask questions of the pilots and air show volunteers.

The AT-6/SN-J was essential in preparing pilots for the challenges of combat during World War II. Its role as an advanced trainer helped shape countless aviators. ✈️

You can find these airplanes being flown by the Condor Squadron in formation over parades, memorial services and events commemorating veterans, including Wings Over Camarillo!

On this date, 34 years ago, a hot air balloon took off and would become the first successful transpacific hot air balloon flight!

After a 46 hour flight from the the southern tip of Japan to Canada, Richard Branson and Per Lindstrand became the first two people to successfully fly across the Pacific ocean in a hot air balloon.

Their journey set records and inspired the world with their courage and innovation.

On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers achieved the first powered, controlled flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Orville and Wilbur's success followed years of experimentation and dedication, including their development of a unique three-axis control system that revolutionized flight. Their achievement not only launched the aviation era but also proved that with persistence and innovation, the impossible can become possible.

Our Story

Continuing a 38-year tradition, the Wings Over Camarillo Airshow is a two-day weekend event in August. With the feeling of an old time barnstorming air show crossed with a big party, the Airshow has something for everyone from kids to grandparents.

Hosting the event is the Camarillo Wings Association (CWA), a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer non-profit corporation in collaboration with the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) SoCal Wing, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 723, Ventura County Ninety-Nines and Department of Airports.

Over the past nine years, CWA has distributed over $371,340 of its net profits to local non-profit groups that promote science and aviation to youth, furthering the education of Ventura County youth through leadership and service.

Static and flight demonstration features many popular aerobatic routines with over 80 aircraft; including vintage planes, experimental, and WWII fighters, bombers and transports.
