As a Shop technician you will be reporting to the Shop Manager. You should have basic knowledge of pro audio equipment (microphones, speakers, speaker cable, etc.). Attention to detail is crucial. You must keep a clean and organized work area while assisting in keeping inventory up to date in order to ensure a proper count for our accounts mangers to book shows.

Installation Manager

Position Summary

Rat Sound Systems is seeking a C7 Low Voltage Systems License holder to be manager of installation services for audio, video and lighting systems. Lead a small team and coordinate all on-site work for systems developed and designed by an internal team.

Responsibilities

Must have California C7 Low Voltage Systems License
Provide on-site supervision of install team with direction from project manager.
Customer liaison in absence of project manager
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Provide On-site survey and consultation for audio video and lighting systems
Cabling infrastructure design for systems
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks
Test point to point functionality of systems
Load and test code for control and DSP systems
Perform client training as needed
Travel to job sites is required

Preferred Skills

Effective communication
Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft office etc.)
Audio, Video and Lighting systems experience
Basic networking
3 years experience installing AVL systems
Self-motivated

Having previously been impressed with the L-Acoustics systems at Coachella and the Hollywood Bowl, Massachi describes the experience of hearing K3. “The first time I heard our K3 system with playback material at The Vermont, I was blown away. It resonated through every inch of my body and was an epic and magical experience."

The Vermont Hollywood’s loudspeaker system features eight K3 flown per side, four spread out across the stage lip for frontfill, and six subs positioned under the stage. Left and right flown sidefills, each comprised of one Focus over one A15 Wide, are complemented on stage by an monitor package, while short-throw and enclosures in the lobby area for additional coverage.
