Back by popular demand, join us for a DIY Spring craft night with fellow snail mail and stationery enthusiasts at Albertine Press! All participants will step into our print studio and letterpress their own set of Spring-themed stationery on one of our antique presses, and then experiment with creative embellishments like wax seals, embossing details, envelope liners, and of course hand-lettered messages to give each card unique flair.

You will take home five letterpress cards and fully embellished DIY envelopes ready to hand deliver or pop in the mail, and lots of techniques to continue sending fun snail mail at home!

This workshop is for anyone who loves mail! Tweens, teens, and adults welcome. All materials are provided but feel free to bring that decorative touch you’ve been hanging onto for a special project - if not now, when?

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented sales associate to join our team!! The position will involve operating our POS system to process sales, customer service, and keeping the store and displays tidy and stocked. The schedule would be two days a week from 11am to 7pm to begin in early April. The days we currently have available are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

The position also includes pitching in with other studio tasks when the store is quiet during the day. Activities might include folding cards, quality checking wedding invitations, helping pull together wholesale orders or one of the many other tasks that pop up in the exciting world of letterpress, as needs arise.

We would love to find someone able to stay through at least the end of the year if it’s a good fit!

The bride and her mother, both interior designers, were captivated by this subtlety and elegance, allowing it to become the foundation for a timeless wedding. With deep letterpress impressions into cotton paper, dreamy white florals, delicate silk ribbon, and a wax seal, Sara & Michael’s invitations embraced every opportunity for texture and design.

Our Story

From classic and elegant to witty and irreverent - Albertine Press is a Cambridge design and letterpress print shop run by Shelley Barandes, a sometime-architect who just loved paper more.

What began as a custom design and print studio has grown to include a full collection of greeting cards, note sets, coasters and journals available at stationery stores and gift boutiques across the country. In addition, we continue to work closely with individuals on custom printing projects, from personal stationery to wedding invitations and beyond. Our new brick and mortar location in Inman Square features a small but mighty stationery and paper goods shop as well as a space for workshops and events like calligraphy, bookbinding, hand lettering, and paper crafts.
