The South Carolina Equine Park is a 60 acre center, located in Camden, South Carolina, that has been specifically designed for a full range of activities, breeds, and users, such as hunter/jumpers, quarter horses, paint horses, dressage, ranch horse shows, breed shows, and youth events.

The South Carolina Equine Promotion Foundation officially arrived in Kershaw County at a full gallop September 25, 2009 with the grand opening of the South Carolina Equine Park offering opportunities for anyone with a passion for horses.

The Foundation, a non-profit organization 501(c)(3), has acquired additional land, enhanced the stabling and rings, and built a covered, all-weather show pavilion. These additions attract larger audiences and can host a variety of non-equine events as well.

SCEP is proud to offer an equine facility in central South Carolina that is accessible by several nearby interstates including I-20, I-95, I-26, and I-77. The Equine Park is supported by private donations and public funds.

Our youth have voted! The youth activities for Camden will be:

-Youth-only panty hose race (FREE!). This is class 16A and you do still need to sign up on horseshowsonline if you have already registered.

-Hula hoop relay race during the Friday exhibitors party! Youth- Get your team of 2 together and you will roll hula hoops around barrels- fastest time wins! No horses involved, all youth welcome!

Prizes for both!!

Kershaw County Council and Kershaw County Planning Commission will hold a joint meeting to discuss the draft of the Comprehensive Plan on Tuesday, February 4 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Kershaw County Economic Development Office at 95 Innovation Way, Camden.

Prior to the joint meeting, the public is invited to drop-in for an Input Session from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
