We don’t like to lean to hard into the advice giving side of things. However, some of you we’ve spoken to have asked what you might be doing wrong, and this video might resonate with you. ANSWER: Speed dating is a format that only works when everyone is a heteros*xual, cisgender male or female. Our event is designed to welcome EVERYONE of EVERY s*x and EVERY gender. Hello everyone, we’ve got an event in Youngstown Sunday! This could be your only opportunity in the near future, so don’t miss it!

We have a personal update. We will be doing fewer events, and likely taking a break until after wedding season ends. Liza, the owner and organizer of the events has taken on a full-time job she could not turn down in addition to DJing weddings every weekend. We hope to still have a couple events in the meantime, and expect things to pick back up more regularly in November/December.

YOUR QUESTION: What's a match vs. a mutual match?

ANSWER: At the end of each event, attendees turn in a match form. We ask that they use this method to exchange contact info rather than put anyone on the spot…which is lower pressure for everyone.

If you put a person’s name on your form, they will be emailed your contact info that evening. If that same person puts your name on their form, that’s a mutual match, and we specify that in the email.
