Hiiii friends!!!🫶🏻what a terribly cold day it is in Ohio. I’m hunkered down after getting my kids to school and I wish I could just sit under a blanket all day, but laundry is calling my name.

I’ve taken the majority of January off from shooting and it has been so good for my soul. I’m actually starting to miss my camera again😂giving myself time to rest and recharge has proven to be so helpful to my mind. I am going to soak up these last few weeks of my break before February rolls around and I get to work with some mama’s who are expecting and welcoming babies into their family. So looking forward to being back at it after a restful month off❤️

Mama and her boys🥹🫶🏻 This family is long time clients of mine and we both arrived a little early to my Christmas Mini sessions yesterday, so we made a detour to some fall color that was still hanging on before heading to the pine trees. I just love how sweet these are of them🥹Little Becks can be a tad camera shy, but he is just the most tender-hearted little guy and he makes any picture I take of him just look simply adorable🥹🥰 Hannah, I just love your family!!!🫶🏻

Fall evening light just hits differently😍it’s softer, cooler, and feels like it disappears a whole lot quicker. But I just love it😍I am behind on sharing images from the past few weeks, but this session just had to make it onto my feed! This family was new to getting in front of my camera, but can I let you in on a little secret as a photographer? We (photographers) can 110% tell when a client trusts us and our creative vision. The session just flows differently when there is trust involved. The best feeling for me as a photographer is when I have a new client, and I can feel right off the bat that they have confidence and trust in me before we have even worked together. It truly makes for the ✨best✨ sessions.

The G Family🥹just the sweetest family of 3 you have ever seen. I mean, just look at that baby girl and how adorable she is?! My heart was in a puddle the second her mama got her out of the car🥹🥰We had to reschedule this session 2 times due to rain and it was so worth it! We had a perfect fall evening and even managed to find a patch of trees that still had some fall color hanging on. And that can be hard to find this far into November😂 Rachel, your family is just the sweetest, most loving, and caring family. Thank you for trusting me to photograph you all🫶🏻🥰

The words "growing up raising you" always tug at my heart when I hear this song. I don't know that I had ever taken a moment to think about how not only am I watching my babies grow up, but they are watching me grow up. And that just gets me emotional. But then add the fact that I have been watching my own parents grow up for the past 29 years and l am a puddle🥹😭

This session was a special one for me because Katy and I grew up going to the same church. It was so special to not only watch her be a mama to her sweet Caroline, but to also see her baby bumb with little sister growing inside🥰And Noah loves his girls well-all 3 of them!💗💗we spent the evening just walking, talking, and playing all while I snapped away. So many cute moments and I wish I could share more than just 10 slides🥹

Golden hour with The Henry Family🥰A gorgeous way to kick off my last busy week of the fall season! We’ve had to reschedule their session twice due to hurricane rain/wind, so I was SO grateful we had a gorgeous sun-filled night for their session. There is such joy in a career like mine getting to watch a family grow💗I hold my camera up to my face and all of the photographs I have taken for this family in the past flow through my brain as I work to capture their current season in life. I think of the ones before they became “mom & dad” and the ones where their eyes were more tired as they smiled because of being up throughout the night with a newborn. I think of the images where we were wrangling a toddler while trying not to disturb the baby who was just born. Fast forward to last night as I photographed those same babies who used to keep mom & dad up throughout the night as they loved on their little brother. Time goes by so quickly, but in having a career like mine, I get to give families like this the ability to freeze time and be transported back to moments like these for decades to come💗 And that is truly a gift🫶🏻

Photographing another photographer’s family is truly an honor! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful summer evening for ’s session. I am not ready for summer to end😭I am soaking up every single shoot I have this month while the trees are still green. And this session didn’t help me say goodbye to summer at all because it was just so👏🏻dang👏🏻beautiful👏🏻

There is so much beauty in taking pictures in the place your babies are spending their childhood. Think of the hours you spend in your backyard watching your kids run around and explore. The way the evening summer sun lights up your yard with the most warm, golden light. Think of how you look out your kitchen window and see your husband pushing your baby on the swing, and though you can only see her laughing from your spot in the kitchen, you can imagine exactly how her laugh sounds at that very moment.

These are the moments you want to treasure forever as a mama. You want to remember every little thing about this current chapter of your life. Life is so sweet and so was this session💗 Documenting this family as they are now a family of four was such an honor and I hope these are photographs that will forever transport them back to this season of life as they look back at them for decades to come.

Sometimes I meet a new family for the first time and we just *click*🫶🏻and let me tell you, that leads to the most fun family sessions because I feel like I am just hanging out with friends with a camera in hand. Add some gorgeous summer light and kids who are up for anything, and we create emotion-filled images like these🥹I love my job and I love the people I get to work with.
