I am a Master Cutter of ladies and children’s dress, with over 25 years experience. If you have a unique idea, a creative flare, or simply need a slight modification to existing or new clothes, you'd be amazed what we can do together! I received my training at the Gomel Vocational-Technical School No. 20 of Population Consumer Services in Belarus. For two (2) years I studied: design, production
training, drawing, technology, equipment, professional ethics, home economics, and other subjects. I continued my education at the Mozyr State Pedagogical Institute, where I received a Master Degree and Certification as a Teacher of General Technical Disciplines in 1990. Ten years later I immigrated to the United States where I continued my education at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education / NY. I was a home-economics teacher for 17 years at City School No. 39 in Gomel, Belarus. While in the United States I have been employed as a professional seamstress and teacher. After returning to Canandaigua in 2007, and due to popular demand by those aware of my professional sewing skills, I decided to devote all of my time and talent on being an alterationist. Although, I am trained in all areas of design, tailoring, cutting, and dressmaking, I do not have all of the commercial sewing equipment needed to perform specific “professional” results; so, my work for you is limited to that of altering garments, with a special focus on ladies and children’s clothing.
