As much as I anticipate the late spring/summer blossoms, it’s important to appreciate and notice the beauty that’s blooming in the in-between. Similar to life, it serves as a gentle nudge to pause, appreciate, and soak in the surrounding beauty.

Time spent with Grandma today. Always special, but today was exceptionally so. She surprised me with this sweatshirt from ‘My Back Yard,’ a project started by my Mother, years ago. My Mom’s passion for all living things has been passed down to me, a realization that struck me recently. Isn’t it funny how, as we age, we reflect on what truly matters in life? Things we wish we had embraced earlier? I’m grateful that, albeit belatedly, I’ve come to appreciate that same love for living things—animals, plants, flowers. Despite Grandma’s many moves, including a significant downsizing last year to an independent living home, this sweatshirt somehow endured. Today, she passed it on to me, and my heart couldn’t be happier.
