Good Morning, Candoronians! CANDOR TOWN HALL WILL BE CLOSED TODAY & WILL REOPEN TOMORROW (weather permitting). Our county is in a mess this morning. Please use your common sense today and stay home, unless you have an emergency. Power is out, trees are down, lots of water on the roads, flash flood warnings, and so on. Our First Responders are already out working in problem areas. If you have an emergency, call 9-1-1 and be patient, assistance will arrive as soon as possible.

UPDATE: The cars will be parked near The Cradle and Pinehurst No. 2 from 5-8 p.m., and a $10 cover will be your ticket to enjoy self-pour beverage options of beer, wine and seltzer. Purchases can be made by linking a credit or debit card to a pour card that will only charge what you pour.

The Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway is bringing its bar car back to Pinehurst, but this time it's open to the public. On Thursday, Aug. 15, you can come aboard Engine Room 87 outside The Cradle for a beer or wine, or just take in the at-track-tive view from upper-deck seating. You'll know the exact time when we do.

We want to thank our friends from Mountaire Farms for coming out this morning and helping us cleanup the park! The rain cut the morning short, but the Mountaire Cares Volunteers were still able to put quite a dent in things, as we prepare for the 2024 N.C. Peach Festival, NEXT WEEK!!

This years N. C. Peach Festival in the Town of Candor N.C. is going to be extra peachy. We will have the Engine Room 87 with the Locomotive Bar on site. Cool off with an adult beverage while enjoying music from one of three rooftop bars.

Family train rides available every 30 minutes on July 20th from downtown Candor aboard the Summit View and our open air patio cars.
