Vunerable business post:
I always worry, as a business owner, when we have to be closed unexpectedly. Customers, funerals, employees, payroll, bills and the old shop itself. I am always trying to think ahead and take care of everyone and everything and be happy, empathetic, excited, heartfelt, professional 😆,and all the things that come into play with the flower shop! I guess I am sharing this in an effort to help people who may stress and worry about the same things, and let you know that your are not alone! We WILL be ok! Maybe not how we have planned, but hoping and trusting in GOD's plan. I am trying to be more trusting in 2025. Instead of being the rock (that I try so hard to be), I am just going to try to lean on THE ROCK instead. Taking this time away at first had me a little rattled and we could use the orders and have the flowers, but today is a good day as any to trust and see the beauty of the unexpected. Seeing my kids sled down the same hill my mom, aunts and uncles, cousins and myself sled down, might not fill my pocket book; but my heart is as full as it could be! Thank you Lord for whatever you have you have for us! Even when things are slim, I am so blessed to be able to go into the shop and hug and bug the people I work with, they are the BEST! Thanks to everyone who has helped us get to where we are today, and we are hoping and trusting that we get to service this community for years to come! Y'all be safe! Hug whoever you have around, and come in next week for a big hug from us at the shop!

I am a hometown Canton girl. I have lived here my whole life on the same road as my family! My husband Robby, a Georgia native, fell in love with Canton after attending Reinhardt University, and we decided to start a family of our own in this special little place. We love our hometown and all it has to offer, and starting South Canton Florist is just adding another exciting element to our future.

After working at my family’s Wedding Venue, Fendley Farmstead and working beside my mom and brother for the last 5 years, I prayed for an opportunity to expand my floral and decorative business so I could work with flowers full time. When the opportunity to purchase Sims Florist came available, it just fit!!!! I look forward to doing wedding flowers (and still getting to work with my family at the venue) along with funeral work, special deliveries, and home design services. I look forward to working with our community and other communities in the area to not only make things prettier, but also spread some love for great customer service and true client relationships.
