I admit it: I nearly fainted this weekend.
While at NewsyTowne Zoo, I was sharing what I do as an event planner and coordinator with the daughter of a gal who’s an absolute treasure! She chimed in and had said these words:
“Having Melissa is a luxury.”
I’m surprised my jaw didn’t hit the floor, because that’s exactly what was going on in my head. (You know, the old fashioned cartoon jaw drop? Yeah, that!)
I almost didn’t believe it at first…
The past year has been rough for lots of people in the Events industry as prices continue to soar… as people are spending more on their day-to-day necessities, it’s clear that luxuries are taking a hit, and hard for people to see the value that these luxury services provide for them when they’re worried if they’ll be able to afford their electric bill or have groceries this month.
Photographers, videographers, DJs, planners, and more are feeling the sting. So at first, I didn’t believe those words.
Until I did. The incredible feelings I felt this weekend with two successful events led me to find the happiness and joy in my work with a job well done.
The value my team provides is a completely stress-free event that you can enjoy to the fullest. Why spend all of that time and money on an event that you can’t enjoy while running the tasks to keep that event afloat?
Make that plan to actually enjoy your event as the VIP guest. Leave the setting up, decorating, and coordinating to the pros so you can kick back, mingle with family and friends, eat good food, and most importantly, make memories.
And to the other small businesses out there, we will get through this. 😁
This weekend was full of feminine magic for our ladies' tea party event! It was the best way to celebrate the growth of a local Ohio business (JL Conrad Commercial Furnishings), three gals with new and upcoming nuptials, and the love and support of the women in our lives.
Bonus perk: My daughter and I were invited to attend! Being able to experience this as a guest was beyond heartwarming. Thank you again for allowing us to share these moments with you!
