So many brides rush out as soon as they are engaged and start buying lots of stuff for their wedding due to their excitement. Often times you will buy a lot of stuff that you simply don’t need to purchase because one of your wedding vendors may already be providing that particular item or it’s not something you really even need for your wedding. This is where a wedding planner can really come in handy and how a planner can save you money from the start. Buying lots of inexpensive items may not seem like a lot, but every little thing can add up so quickly.
Some examples I have seen in the past is brides that purchase candles and votive candle holders for their wedding when their florist is already providing these or brides that purchase cups, plates and utensils when their caterer will provide these items at no additional cost. There are some things you will need to purchase, but there is a lot of items you don’t need to waste your wedding money on when you can put that money towards something else.
Here is a list of everything you will have to go out and purchase on your own for your wedding that’s not normally covered by another wedding vendor.

A wedding arch is a beautiful centerpiece for your ceremony, symbolizing the gateway to your new life together. Whether you want something extravagant or simple, here are a few ideas to help you choose the perfect wedding arch.

1. Floral Wedding Arch
Elaborate Option: Go all out with a full floral arch, covered in lush blooms like roses, peonies, and greenery. It creates a romantic, fairytale look.
Simple Option: Use a minimalist floral arrangement with just a few clusters of flowers at the top or sides for a soft, elegant touch.

2. Wooden Wedding Arch
Elaborate Option: Create a rustic or boho vibe with a large wooden arch draped in flowing fabrics, flowers, and greenery. You can also add lanterns or hanging lights.
Simple Option: Keep it simple with a bare wooden arch, accented with a few sprigs of greenery or eucalyptus for a natural, earthy feel.

3. Metal Wedding Arch
Elaborate Option: Use a grand metal arch in a geometric or circular shape, adorned with flowers, drapes, or fairy lights for a modern, chic look.
Simple Option: A sleek, unadorned metal arch with a clean design offers a contemporary and minimalist style that lets the surroundings shine.

4. Fabric Wedding Arch
Elaborate Option: For a dreamy, flowing effect, cover the arch with layers of soft fabrics like chiffon or silk. Add flowers or lights to give it a magical feel.
Simple Option: Drape a single piece of fabric loosely over a basic arch frame for a breezy, effortless look.

5. Greenery Wedding Arch
Elaborate Option: Go all out with a greenery-covered arch made entirely of leaves, vines, and small flowers, creating a lush, garden-inspired setting.

Simple Option: Use minimal greenery, like a few vines wrapped around the arch frame, for a fresh, understated look that complements an outdoor setting.

These ideas give you the flexibility to create a wedding arch that suits your style, whether you're aiming for a lavish setup or a simple, elegant design.

Planning a spring wedding is so exciting! The table decor is indeed a key part of setting the tone for your special day. Here are a few beautiful and seasonal ideas to consider for your spring wedding table decor:

1. Floral Centerpieces with Fresh Spring Blooms
Spring is all about vibrant, fresh flowers. You could opt for seasonal blooms like tulips, daffodils, cherry blossoms, and peonies. These flowers not only look gorgeous but also capture the essence of the season. A mix of pastel hues (pinks, lilacs, yellows) or a bolder color scheme with deeper shades of purple and pink would add a perfect touch to the tables.

Pro Tip: Pair the flowers with elegant vases or even rustic wooden crates for a countryside vibe.
2. Botanical Table Runners
Instead of traditional tablecloths, consider lush greenery or floral table runners. Eucalyptus leaves, ivy, or vines can cascade down the table, creating a natural, organic feel that blends seamlessly with the outdoor spring theme.

Cultural Twist: In some cultures, using herbs like rosemary or lavender in table decor symbolizes love and loyalty—adding not only beauty but also meaning to your wedding.
3. Pastel Color Palette with Textured Linens
Soft pastel colors like blush pink, mint green, or pale blue scream "spring." Incorporate these colors into your tablecloths, napkins, or even your dishware. Textured linens like lace or linen napkins can add a rustic, romantic vibe to the table settings.

4. Elegant Candlelight
If your wedding extends into the evening, candles are a simple yet stunning way to create a cozy atmosphere. Opt for soft pastel or white candles in glass votives or elegant candlesticks to complement your spring theme. For an eco-friendly touch, consider beeswax candles.

5. Seasonal Fruit or Herb Accents
Use seasonal fruits like lemons, oranges, or even berries to add a pop of color and freshness to your tables. You could also tie small bundles of fresh herbs, such as thyme or sage, to each napkin as a charming, fragrant detail.

These ideas not only evoke the beauty of spring but can also be tailored to fit your wedding theme or personal preferences. Let me know if you'd like more inspiration!

Planning a baby shower? Here's one we decorated recently with a "Cutie" theme, perfect for celebrating the arrival of a little one in the sweetest way possible!
1. Theme Inspiration:
The "Cutie" theme is inspired by the bright and cheerful colors of citrus fruits, especially the adorable Cuties oranges. It's all about creating a fun, fresh, and vibrant atmosphere for the mom-to-be, filled with warm oranges, yellows, and greens. This theme is especially fitting for spring and summer showers but can brighten up any season!
2. Decorations:
Color Palette: We played with a fresh, citrus-inspired palette of orange, yellow, green, and white to keep things light and cheerful.
Balloon Arch: A balloon arch featuring soft pastel oranges and whites greeted guests at the entrance. Some of the balloons even had mini orange designs, while leaves and florals added a garden-like touch.
Table Settings: Each table was adorned with adorable "Cutie" centerpieces – small baskets filled with mini oranges, greenery, and a little sign that said, "A little cutie is on the way!".
Backdrops and Banners: We designed a custom backdrop that read, "Sweet Little Cutie" for the gift table and another "Cutie" banner for the dessert table. The backdrop was filled with playful citrus slices and baby motifs.
3. Food & Drinks:
Citrus-Inspired Treats: We served orange-flavored cupcakes with buttercream frosting swirled to look like orange segments. There were also "cutie" sugar cookies shaped like oranges, complete with adorable smiley faces.
Refreshments: We had a citrus bar with orange-infused water, lemonade, and a signature "Cutie Cooler" mocktail (a mix of orange juice, pineapple juice, and a splash of sparkling water).
The Cake: The cake was a two-tiered masterpiece featuring a cute little baby surrounded by oranges, complete with fondant citrus slices decorating the sides. It was almost too cute to eat!

If you’re looking to throw a baby shower with a playful, vibrant theme, consider a "Cutie" party – it's a sweet way to celebrate!

Fall is indeed a wonderful time for weddings, with its rich colors, crisp air, and cozy ambiance. When it comes to decorating a wedding arch for a fall wedding, you have a range of options to suit different tastes and styles. Here's a breakdown of ideas on how to style a fall wedding arch, from simple to elaborate:

1. Simple and Natural Fall Arches
Bare Wooden Arch: Use a wooden arch with minimal decoration, letting the natural beauty of the wood and the surrounding fall scenery shine.
Greenery Accents: Add subtle greenery, like eucalyptus or ivy, to enhance the rustic feel without overwhelming the arch.
Dried Flowers: Incorporate dried flowers or grasses like pampas grass for a simple yet elegant touch.

2. Moderately Decorated Fall Arches
Seasonal Flowers: Choose autumnal flowers such as dahlias, sunflowers, or marigolds to add pops of color without making the arch too busy.
Fabric Draping: Drape fabrics in fall tones like burgundy, burnt orange, or deep red over the arch for a soft and romantic look.
Lanterns or Candles: Hang small lanterns or place candles near the base for a warm, inviting glow as the sun sets.

3. Elaborate and Ornate Fall Arches
Full Floral Coverage: Cover the arch completely with a mix of fresh and dried flowers, incorporating fall leaves, berries, and vines for a lush, opulent look.
Incorporate Pumpkins and Gourds: Add small pumpkins, gourds, or even cornucopias at the base of the arch or within the structure to emphasize the fall theme.
Twinkling Lights: String fairy lights or Edison bulbs across the arch for a magical, twilight effect that will glow as the evening progresses.

Final Thoughts
The beauty of a fall wedding arch lies in its versatility. Whether you prefer a minimalist style or a fully adorned arch, the fall season offers a rich palette of colors and textures to play with. You can keep it

For a fall wedding, selecting flowers that are in season and reflect the rich, warm hues of autumn is key to creating a beautiful and cohesive theme. Here are some popular flowers for fall weddings, along with reasons why they are great choices:

Dahlias: These flowers come in a wide range of colors, including deep burgundy, pink, and orange. They have a dramatic, full shape that adds volume and texture to bouquets and arrangements.

Sunflowers: Bright and cheerful, sunflowers add a rustic charm to fall weddings. Their vibrant yellow petals and large heads make them a striking focal point in any arrangement.

Chrysanthemums (Mums): Available in almost every color, chrysanthemums are a versatile option for fall weddings. They are durable and can last throughout the day, making them perfect for bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces.

Calla Lilies: Elegant and sophisticated, calla lilies come in deep, rich colors like burgundy and purple, as well as classic white. Their sleek shape adds a modern touch to fall wedding arrangements.

Ranunculus: Known for their layers of delicate petals, ranunculus flowers are available in warm shades like orange, yellow, and burgundy. They add a romantic and lush feel to bridal bouquets and table arrangements.

By choosing flowers like these, which are naturally in bloom during the fall, you'll create a stunning, seasonal aesthetic while also being cost-effective.

Wood slices can add a rustic and natural charm to your wedding decor. Here are some creative ways you can incorporate them:

Guest Signing Board: Instead of a traditional guest book, use a large wood slice as a signing board. Guests can leave their signatures and well wishes on the wood, which you can later display as a keepsake.

Centerpieces: Use wood slices as the base for your centerpieces. You can place candles, flowers, or small vases on top to create a cozy, woodland-inspired look.

Cake Stand: A large, sturdy wood slice can make a beautiful and rustic cake stand, perfect for displaying your wedding cake or other desserts.

Table Numbers: Small wood slices can be used to create table numbers. You can either paint the numbers directly onto the wood or attach them with metal or wooden numbers for a 3D effect.

Place Settings: Use smaller wood slices as place cards or coasters. You can write each guest's name on them and place them on their plate or use them to hold menus or other small details.

Bar Decor: Use wood slices to label different drinks or as part of the bar's decor. You can place them under bottles or use them to create signs for the bar area.

Photo Display: Hang photos from twine attached to a large wood slice to create a unique photo display. This could be used to showcase pictures of the couple or as a memory board for loved ones.

Wedding Favors: Small wood slices can be personalized with your wedding date and given as favors to guests. They can be turned into coasters, ornaments, or simply a keepsake from your special day.

These ideas can enhance the natural beauty of your wedding while adding a personal and unique touch. Would you like to explore more ideas or need help with a specific aspect of your wedding decor?
