Affordable & Unique Rental Space in Canton, GA with TONS of charm! Today, the Rock Barn (a.k.a.

Crescent Farm Historical Center) is a unique landmark and multi-use facility. Rehabilitated to host the Society's meetings, the Rock Barn is both an exhibition center and a special events facility available for rent. While the exterior appears the same as when it was originally completed in 1906, the interior has been charmingly modernized without sacrificing the architectural integrity of a race

horse stable. While the building itself has a maximum occupancy of 180, tents may be set up outside on the lawn to extend the facility. The Rock Barn easily accommodates Business Meetings, Family Reunions, Wedding Receptions, and all types of parties. The Rock Barn is available for tours by appointment only, please call 770-802-9557 for more information.

A Glimpse into History at Crescent Farm
In the early 1900s, Gus Coggins owned Crescent Farm, a bustling plantation and livery stable right here in Canton, alongside his brother, Rol Coggins. On this very property, just southwest of what is now the Rock Barn - Historic Event Venue, there once stood a quarter-mile race track where Gus trained his prized racehorses. Among them was the renowned "Abbedale," a 2:01 1/4 pacer celebrated in the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame! 🌿🏇

Sunday afternoons were a community favorite, with locals gathering to watch these majestic horses race. Crescent Farm played a key role in the Southern Circuit’s lively racing and horse trading scene. Today, it remains a beautiful part of Canton's history.
