If your dream location for your special day is a casual ranch setting, look no further than The Barn at The Silver Spur Resort. Located on 35 acres in Canton Texas The Barn provides the perfect backdrop for your ceremony and reception.
Your guests will sit comfortably in a glen shaded by mature Elm and Pecan trees with our lake and fountain in the background. Your entrance can range from a walk down a shaded path to a carriage ride around the lake with drop off directly behind our wedding arbor. The picturesque setting is bordered by a running stream on one side and cows grazing the neighbor’s pastures on the other.
The new couple and guests will return to our newly built rustic Barn for a reception and dancing. The Barn has all the amenities you will need to complete your dream; keep it simple or decorate lavishly as suits your style. Open the barn doors and let the party flow out onto surrounding lawns, or keep the party small within the rustic walls of this climate controlled building. However you envision your day, our experienced staff will assist in making the dream come true.
The Barn is part of a 35-acre ranch themed development which will continue to add options to satisfy the needs of you and your guests. Durham’s Roost is our 5 bedroom main house which also operates as a B&B when not occupied by wedding party, or family and out of town guests. As expansion is completed our current lodging capacity of 25 guests between B&B and deluxe cabins will be expanded to over 50. For guest entertainment there is our Barnyard to be explored, tournament horseshoe pits, fire rings, lawn games, and a 1 acre lake for leisurely walks. By Summer 2018 the Q and Brew Restaurant will be completed and ready to serve both traditional and unique BBQ selections.
Special Events, Parties, and Conferences
Our large rustic barn is the perfect location for your reunion, birthday party, conference, or other special event in Canton, Texas.
We are now booking parties up to 90 days in advance. Basic rental includes use of The Barn, set up/tear down, tables and chairs for allotted guests with a 2 hour minimum. Upgrades are available to the basic rental...Catering options, linens, floral, photography and more. Our team wants to make your day one to remember, so please don't hesitate to discuss any special request or idea.
