Two weeks ago, I shot my last wedding of the season, far earlier than I’ve ever been used to. It was also my last wedding before becoming a mom. A special milestone for me. It was bittersweet, but I truly could not have been happier to have spent it with Tricia & Tyler for their wedding at one of my favorite venues . It was a perfect joyous day that I was so happy to be a part of. I loved every minute of shooting this wedding and was grateful to have ended the wedding season and this chapter with Tricia & Tyler.

Today marked the last day of September and my Zoar minis. Bittersweet that my sessions and shooting are coming to a close for a bit while I enter into this new chapter and focus on this shift into motherhood. Thanks for all that came out! Can’t wait to share the rest of the sessions from the past few weeks, like these sweet family shots from the ever wonderful Foote family 🤍

Thought I’d share a little late night tidbit of life over here! We celebrated baby Fach this weekend at my baby shower and I could not be filled with more joy and love from those in our lives 💙 as we are somehow incredibly nearing the end of this pregnancy, we are so comforted by the love and support we have. Community is everything, and we are happy our sweet boy will be born into an amazing one 🩵

Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I’ve introduced myself around here and there’s lots of changes lately, so I thought this was a perfect time! I’m Lydia, the face behind the camera. It’s been pretty quiet around here lately, but if you saw the recent news, it’s because my husband and I are expecting our first baby, Baby Boy Fach! 💙 This Summer, I have taken a step back to slow down and enjoy this new season of life during pregnancy and anticipation and planning for our new little one with my husband and it has been wonderful and I am grateful for it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But with this big life change will naturally come a big change for my business as well. To be honest, I am still navigating what this will look like for me and my family. But what I do know is I love photography, I have missed shooting with you all so very much, and I know photography and my business will continue to be a part of me and my life.

With that being said, for now, I really wanted to get a little shooting in before I head out on maternity leave come October 1, so I am excited to be holding a little pop up event that will run from now until September 30.

Just wanted to end by thanking everyone for always supporting me and my business over the past nearly decade. My business has seen a lot of growth and changes over the years, but I am mostly looking forward to this new direction my photography business will be going in as we enter this new era in life.

It’s been a little quiet around here lately… but for good reason! Greg & I are so excited to share that we are expecting Baby Boy Fach in November! This summer has been spent soaking in and sharing the news, preparing for baby, and simply slowing down and enjoying this chapter. A few photog updates to come soon, but for now, just wanted to share this happy news. We are so elated and can’t wait to meet our sweet boy 🤍

Happy May! For some reason, May 1 has been one of my favorite days and there’s no real reason. Perhaps it’s the start of my favorite month (I mean it is my bday month 😉), the first month of consistent warmth and fuller foliage, fresh and light yellow green tones in the new leaves, blooms everywhere, the sweet smell of florals in the air, marks the end of a school a year (Greg’s a teacher after all!) and most excitingly, it’s the month before summer and much sunnier days. I love anticipation, so for me, May is full of it!✨
