We named the Inn not only for my love of astronomy but to promote the concept of balance, equilibrium, peace and relaxation.

Explanation: What's that at the end of the road? The Sun. Many towns have roads that run east-west, and on two days each year, the Sun rises and sets right down the middle. Not only is this a day of equal night ("aequus"-"nox") and day time, but also a day when the sun rises precisely to the east and sets due west. Displayed here is a picturesque rural road in Alberta, Canada that runs approximately east-west. The featured image was taken during the September Equinox of 2021, but the geometry remains the same every year. In many cultures, this March equinox is taken to be the first day of a season, typically spring in Earth's northern hemisphere, and autumn in the south. Does your favorite street run east-west? Happy semi-annual Equinox Day!

Welcome Fall, Northern Hemisphere! 🍂

Tonight is the autumnal equinox, which marks the beginning of Fall in the northern hemisphere. The Sun rises due east and sets due west across the whole planet at the equinoxes, which are the only times of year for which that’s the case.

I had the pleasure to work with a repeat client who supplied the teal cube vases and a photo of her plate pattern… and this was the final result ! The client even let me know that I had chosen flowers that matched the plates in form and color. Needless to say - we’re both pleased with the results !

WOW! Top notch is all I can say. Darrin was amazing and used her creativity to make a special custom arrangement for a friend of our who lost her dog to liver failure. She made a dog out of flowers which was also the color of Ruby (the pup who passed) and layered in red and rainbow colors. Not only was this beautiful, it touched our friend and she was so excited to see Ruby in the flowers as well. Darrin was quick to catch on we run a dog rescue and said, I'm sure she has other dogs at home. I will make sure there are no toxic flowers in this arrangement. Talk about going above and beyond. Amazing!
