The Barn at Mimosa: Authentic turn-of-the-century barn event venue. Nestled on beautiful Eyre Hall Creek near Cape Charles and Cheriton on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Surrounded by 17 acres of protected fields and woodlands, the property offers views of pristine waterfront and is home to osprey, bald eagles, and herons. With an original farmhouse and additional outbuildings, photographic backdrops abound! Built in the 1860’s and completely refurbished in 2013, The Barn at Mimosa offers a unique rustic yet elegant experience with all the modern amenities, all set among some of the most beautiful, scenic backdrops to be found. Available all year round, Mimosa Barn offers 2200 square feet of exceptionally versatile entertainment space, perfect for everything from small and intimate gatherings to large and grand events. Mimosa Barn is an ideal location for weddings, rehearsal dinners, reunions, office, holiday and birthday parties, as well as business conferences and retreats. Its private, tucked-away location offers breathtakingly beautiful and serine surroundings, yet is just minutes to the historic bustling town of Cape Charles, nationally ranked Bay Creek golf resort and bay front beaches.

Mimosa Barn accommodates seating for up to 100 guests, or 125 for a stand-up reception. The outdoor manicured lawn provides space for tents to accommodate 300+ guests. The original corn crib has been renovated to provide a catering kitchen with a large refrigerator and kitchen garden. Other amenities include a reception and lounge area for small side meeting or greeting guests and a bridal party dressing suite with an outdoor patio overlooking the water, a 220 square foot stage, built-in bar with bar sinks, sound system with indoor and outdoor speakers, an old milking station converted to a fire pit, and plenty of onsite parking. Nearby accommodtions include everything from historic inns and B&Bs to campgrounds, and many other nearby budget friendly options.
