Wisdom😊

Laundry & leaves blowing in the breeze.
This reminds me of wisdom and the wind. You see, True wisdom is Godly knowledge applied!
Applied here is a verb, action.
Got Wisdom? Want Wisdom?

Wisdom far surpasses any knowledge; it’s deeper, more meaningful, beneficial and from God. Anybody can get it, just ask! Here’s how:

In the Bible, James 1:5 tells us to ask God for wisdom and to ask with confidence and certainty. Do not be wishy washy like the wind that blows here and there tossing waves of the sea.’
You’d be wise to Look it up for yourself, it’s darn good reading!

Sturdy trekking poles, a strong flashlight and bright head lamps are
necessary safety tools when hiking a mountain or hiking through life! God’s word is the bright sturdy light that will light your life path when it gets dark. I use them all the time! Happy Hiking!

Covet: a verb, meaning to yearn to possess or have, to be consumed with desire for.😬 YIKES😳

This large stack of firewood says warmth, security, comfort and many hot supper times to me! I love it!
Covet???? Who me?? Yep!

A large pile of dry firewood is the only thing I can ever truly remember coveting in my whole life! What about you?

Growing up with my great Uncle Curly and Great Aunt Juanita, we started cutting firewood for the next year a year in advance. They were always prepared, and it was a necessity in their little cabin home in the woods, it was comforting.
As a very young girl, I was taught to cook on the wood cook stove by my Great Aunt and how to build a fire from scraps of wood splits was taught to me by my uncle.
Life saving lessons and enjoyable ones at that!

You see, many decades ago, as a young wife and new mother who heated her home with wood, good firewood and plenty of it was a necessity too.
But due to certain circumstances, we never had an ample pile of dry firewood stocked up going into winter and this caused me a great deal of anxiety. The wood just got cut when the pile was almost gone no matter what time of the winter it was. And green wet wood does not make a hot fire.

I remember driving by other farm homes who had a large stock pile of firewood neatly stacked on their covered porches and smoke rising up out of their chimneys and I was so envious of that.
I coveted their wood pile, I coveted their wood cutting work ethic, I coveted their comfort. Then I felt bad that I coveted all that.

So I had to change my thinking and change my heart from coveting someone else’s woodpile to celebrating their firewood cutting accomplishments. Changing my own thinking until my circumstances could change, made me easier to live with myself!😊

Coveting something hurts;
that’s why it’s one of the ‘Thou Shalt Nots’ in the 10 commandments of Exodus 20. God doesn’t want us to hurt ourselves or others.
It happens, but with God’s help we can overcome it.

Many years have passed now but there’s not a firewood pile I drive by today that I don’t remember that lesson!

After the storms came through our farm in July of this year and took out many trees, we have plenty of fire wood for us, family & friends for the winter. If you need firewood, don’t covet, just call. We’re happy to share!❤️

I’m not dyslexic, but as I walk & talk with my Dog I also walk & talk with my God!😊🤣🥰 Get it?🤗 haha! Anyway… Part of my knee/leg strengthening after the 2 replacements is walking up and down hills preparing for som big hiking! My Daisy Doggie is 13 years old and she loves to walk with me by the lake so we can swim too. We’re up to 2 miles now after 5 1/2 months from surgery. I’m getting stronger every day.

In the Bible, Joshua 1:9 says ‘ Be strong and courageous, and know that GOD is with me every step of the way.’
We’ve got the best walking companion in all we do, if we just ask!🥰

Bring your family, your friend or your church group to this simply sweet presentation of the greatest story ever told through the eyes of God’s critters. Not your typical nativity scene; this will make you think and possibly appreciate a bit deeper!❤️

Us hillbilly country folks call these Naked Ladies, proper city folks call them Surprise Lillies. The old timers say they’re the last blooming flower of summer.

Jesus calls them beautiful and worry-free! 🤗Jesus tells us to be more like these; So don’t worry, be like a lily!

He hatched out Crippled with a broken hip/leg 9 days ago.
I take care of him and the other baby Guinea chicks that hatched out with him in the incubator, take care of him too…❤️ We all will, for as long as he is alive❤️
