Repurposing flower arrangements is a great way to maximize as much of your wedding floral budget as possible! Here's a few tips we have on making sure your wedding flower flip goes the best!✨️ 1. Communication-- ALWAYS communicate your expectations to your florist. Sometimes, the shape of a repurposing piece will need to be different than what you have imagined so it can be placed in both of your prepared flower locations! Always discuss these things with your florist to make sure repurposing is possible within your vision! 2. Know that timing is super important. If you will be taking photos in front of flowers that need to be moved, make sure you give this timeline to your florist! If you aren't planning to have a cocktail hour AND the flowers need to be moved after photos, know that your guests will see this flip occurring in your reception space. --Cocktail hour is very helpful for seamlessly moving repurposed flower arrangements! 3. You will spend a little more on a repurposed arrangement than one that stays in the same place all evening, but you will save $$ in the long run by having fewer arrangements overall. The higher individual cost comes from the hours needed for a team to stay on site to move/attach the piece(s) to its final location. Taking heavy flowers down from 9 ft in the air without breakage is no easy task and takes a team to ensure everything is perfection! I don't have a storefront✨️ I've converted my garage into a flower shop, and I couldn't see having my business anywhere but on our beautiful & peaceful acreage out in the country of So. IL❤️ Most of my couples aren't local to my area to come in to a shop, so I do a lot of phone meetings and it is just as efficient for myself and my clients (if not more) as meeting in person. If we do meet in person before your event, it is likely at a local coffee shop or at your venue for a walkthrough. I don't take small orders✨️ I specialize in weddings and events, and the way I've structured my business, it doesn't make sense for me to take on orders less than $1500. I don't have a phone number available to the public✨️ The best way to communicate with me is through email. This keeps me organized to have a visual of all the conversations I've had with current and prospective clients and gives me more details to look back on when planning and designing. It's the quickest & most thorough way for me to get back to everyone. I do reserve my phone number for those who have already booked me for their event in case they ever need to call or text! I don't charge per stem✨️ I charge per arrangement/installation. This plays hand in hand with my minimum order requirement. I know the scale and amount of arrangements I can create within my minimum, and this gives me more freedom to design based on visual needs rather than individual stem cost. I don't gatekeep✨️ Whatever knowledge I have came from so many florists before me who were willing to freely share and educate. Any tips and tricks I can pass along to other florists, event planners or new businesses, I count as a win! Creativity is better shared--and being able to live in a non-competitive community amongst other creatives in your niche is truly a blessing.
