Congratulations to the team of Head Golf Professional Jared Cottell, Bill Durkin, Curtis Haley & Frank Osborne who came in 4th in the 28 team CC of Scranton Pro-Am on Wednesday in blustery conditions on a firm and fast golf course.
In addition to the teams great performance, Jared Cottell, came in 4th individually in the professional division with a 75 and Frank Osborne was the low amateur with a one under par 71. Great job guys!!

The Women’s Golf Association had their closing day tournament today to wrap up the 2024 season. It warmed up nicely this afternoon for our ladies. The team of Amy Mellon, Nancy Brown, Karen Allen & Deb Strong shot 72 to win a tightly contested event.

We celebrated our Elkview Memorial Member-Guest tournament over the weekend. We endured 1.7 inches of rain on Saturday that necessitated a format change. The club pulled through fine and had a great Sunday of golf!!

Please join us in welcoming Cory Sabato to our team as Elkview’s new House Manager!

Cory was born and raised locally, graduating from Mid Valley High School. He attended the University of Scranton, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in finance.

After graduation he managed a local restaurant for almost ten years. His love for the game of golf led him to take a position at Glen Oak Country Club as the Director of Food and Beverage, which he held for over two years.

Looking to further his career goal of becoming the General Manager of a local country club, Cory joins our Elkview family. Bringing with him his 18 years of restaurant experience. Cory states, “My goal here at Elkview Country Club is to bring the restaurant and service to the next level to go along with its phenomenal golf course and make this the best club in the area.”

We are excited to have Cory join our team. Cory has already hit the ground running and is in the process of working with the interview committee to hire an executive chef.

As soon as the club opens, please make sure to stop in and say hello to Cory.
