Before rumor gets out, I would like to release a statement. I have been doing the Civic Center and Parks and Recreation for the City of Carlisle for roughly 13 years. It has brought me so much joy to see everyone’s kids growing up and becoming amazing adults. But, it is time for me to move on to the next step in my life. Thank you all for allowing me and my family to be in your lives and to be a part of your extended family.

Thanks

Ronnie, Stacy, TJ, Kaleb and Caroline

On Bobby Glover Highway there is a construction project that has begun. They have cut down some pecan trees and giving the wood away. If you’re interested contact Dusty at 479-747-9574 ASAP. They would prefer to give it away instead of burning it.

A huge thank you goes out to the Water/Sewer/Street Department for all the debris that’s been picked up and hauled off. There is still some to go, but compared to what it was(as pictured) a tremendous amount has been done. This does not include the approximate 30 loads of chips and leaves that has been hauled off.

If you want a comparison to the size of the piles of debris the guys are pictured in one of the pictures.

If you have limbs and storm debris that needs disposed of, you can dump it behind the county dump, where the rest has been dumped. Behind the transfer station. Please only dump limbs and storm debris, no household trash.

County dump is on Highway 13 South, west side of the road. It is only for during operational hours.

Again, this is only for debris caused by the downed trees from the storm. No household trashes of any type.

I have been asked to post this in hopes that it will help someone.

Attention Carlisle and local areas!
Chambers Health and Rehabilitation has private pay rooms available for the elderly. If anyone has been or will be displaced from storm damage and needing a place to stay during this time, let us help. Please call us at 870-552-7150.

If you see trees across roadways that aren’t being cut and removed, it’s due to power lines in those trees. Until Entergy either removes the wires or shuts off power, it is unsafe to cut those trees.

06/26/2023

Just to give everyone an update. Currently with the power out, the City Hall/Mayors Office/Water Department Office is closed. The Street crew is currently out trying to clear the streets. Please be patient as this will be a long process. Watch for downed wires and please avoid areas where workers are present.

If you’d like to volunteer to help clean up, please send a message to this page and we will get you in touch with the appropriate person.

Be safe and take care.
