That's a wrap for CarmelFest. Except for the behind the scenes clean up crew. A huge thank you to all of our committee members for your hard work organizing CarmelFest, our volunteers who help at the festival and parade on the 3rd and 4th, and to our sponsors who make CarmelFest possible every year. Parade officials will meet with Carmel Police Department and Carmel Fire Department at 9:30am to evaluate the approaching rain/storm situation. There is a possibility the parade start time may be moved up to 10am. We will update you when a decision is made.

If the Carmelfest fireworks are actually cancelled they will not be rescheduled. However, If we see an opportunity to launch our show during a break in the weather, either earlier or later than planned on the fourth, we will do so. If it is raining and there is no chance of lightning or high winds, the show will proceed. It is lightning and or wind that would cause an unsafe condition and thus a cancellation.

Weather update:

According to Fox59 meteorologists, the storm west of us is weakening and should be south of Indianapolis today. The parade should be rain free on Thursday morning. We will keep you posted.

CarmelFest weather information!

The festival and parade will continue if it rains. If severe weather should occur, follow the instructions of the Carmel Police & Fire Departments who will monitor the weather situation.

The festival and parade could be delayed if it looks as though a storm will pass. If it will be stormy all day, the parade will be canceled and not rescheduled. The festival area will be closed if storms/lightning, but could reopen later in the day if the weather clears.
