Hey yall!

Erin and Kileys wedding was… breathtaking. The venue was just… amazing. The brides? STUNNING. They and their loved ones did such a great job with the space. This is not a space normally used as a venue but because literally EVERY detail was thought out and carefully executed- you would have never guessed thag weddings don’t happen there regularly! Also, I’m telling you… everything was so well thought out!

Carter, who was their wedding coordinator, was incredibly helpful to me, she was well prepared, cool and calm, very nice, not demanding, not full on Totaltarian and absolutely just went with the flow (this is not always the case). She had great ideas and touches that she used for Erin and Kiley. She was also working solo- no assistant. She used her time wisely and did a phenomenal job! Truly, if you are a bride looking for an effective, budget friendly coordinator that makes sure things run smooth on your big day- reach out to me and I will connect you to her! Highly recommend!

The Ceremony space was… OMG, just picture perfect- in a clearing under gorgeous huge trees, near a running creek. The reception area was up a hill, and was fully tented, with a dance floor. Reception site was near horse pastures- which was super cool. They had a young man carting people to the reception area after the ceremony, in a large sized golf cart. A Photo booth that actually printed the pictures out (I see pros and cons to the print out versions and the online versions- I like that you get a tangible picture with the print out ones, but I like being able to see everyones pictures, when its online based but either way is a great touch). The DJ was awesome. Photographer did a very through and fantastic job. The bathrooms consisted of a trailer that had 3 units that were immaculate, air conditioned, with music playing inside. They had a fire pit that had seats with blankets available and smores stuff. The cutest mobile (open) bar with a super nice couple running it, serving drinks out of mason jars with handles. Really good Appetizers for cocktail hour. Delicious Wood fired pizzas and salad for dinner. The pizza was GOOD. A variety of Cheesecake factory cheesecakes for dessert… I was in heaven. Not to mention the money that was saved by not having to pay for a venue and just having all the details very well thought out and budgeted (Erin is a master at this).

Unfortunately, I had to leave right after cake because one of my sons had an emergency situation- luckily, he was/is okay, but I was rattled and just trying to get to him quickly without seeming frantic 🤦🏻‍♀️

Once they get professional pictures I’ll be posting more, but here are some that I took.

There were…

🖤2 brides bouquets (unfortunately, I forgot to take close ups of these, but you can see them in their hands as they walk down the aisle)
🤍7 bridesmaid bouquets that were repurposed on tables (HIGHLY recommend when budgeting and also after the ceremony its a pain for your maids to carry around!)
🖤3 identical arrangements for the three tables left in addition to the 7 bridesmaid bouquets

🤍Seating arrangement flowers
🖤2 mother of the brides corsages (forgot to get pics)

Flowers Used were Roses, Spray roses, Mums, carnations, snap dragons, Hydrangea, and lilies. Greenery used was silver dollar eucalyptus and the brides and the arch arrangement had peonies.

It is always definitely a labor of love when doing it by yourself! I. Am. Beat! While the preparation, arranging, packing up, delivering and set up can be pretty brutal, it is so worth it. To be able to play a small part in such an important and huge day in someones life... Makes it all worth it

BIG thank you to my Delivery Assistant, Tara, for helping me transport everything safe and sound to Auburn!
We actually got everything up there without losing a stem! She is truly my ride or die- at least after 9 AM (otherwise, if you call/text her or expect her to be awake and go gettin” before 9, it’ll be a rude awakening for ya 🤣 I know better!)

Erin and Kiley were both truly such STUNNING brides. I Definitely cried a lot through the ceremony and during reception speeches. Their vows were just so sweet and very well written. You can truly see their bond and deep love for one another 🩷 And they have such solid families that are so proud of them and just love them so much. You could really feel such a deep connection, immense pride in Erin and Kiley and love for, and between, all of them

So very happy for them both, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them (Apparently Erins dad is EXTREMELY anxious for grandkids 🤣)! It was truly such an honor to provide the florals and be a part of such an important and special day 🖤🤍 Thank you, ladies!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! I had a few lil jobs I’ll post later after the recipients receive them 😉 But here is what was made for my own Mom and my mother in law 🥰

I am beyond blessed to have these two in my life. They both love their families so much and are selfless women. I could not have chosen better women in my life, if I could. Thank you for being strong women examples in my life.

I am grateful to my three sons and their dads, for making me a mama it’s truly the hardest but most rewarding job there is the amount of pride I have for my boys, is… immeasurable. They truly are the loves of my life.

I also showed my love through flowers to Laynes daycare provider, Vina, who has honestly helped me raise him and has truly been a mother figure in my life and of course, Tara and I showed my second mom Julie, love, through an arrangement for her as well. I have so many incredible women in my life and in addition to my own fantastic mom, I have always had a second mom in Julie and Vina has just enriched my life as well

I am a very blessed woman 🩷

I hope you all take the time to have a moment with your mom or mother figure- whether that means to physically visit, call her on the phone or send your love above to her 🩷

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted any work. I e had a few small jobs but honestly, life has gotten chaotic. Had a prom job last weekend with white and lavender tulips for a couple (Thank you, Lindsey!), and although it’s an honor, I’m sad about the circumstances surrounding this piece. It’s a heart wreath with red roses and israelian ruskus for a dear friends brother. It will go on its stand later this evening. I always try to put heart into my work - especially end of life pieces. I hope tomorrow and Thursday goes as best as it can, for my dear friend Marianne.

Hopefully this means I’m going to motivate myself to post more. I have a wedding at the end of the month, so stay tuned for that.

Hello friends! Happy Saturday! It’s homecoming season and Lindsy reached out for her son, his date and her daughter. She specifically wanted white tulips for her son and his date and deep red roses for her daughter.

I was seriously praying that somehow my favorite fringed white tulips would be at the wholesaler I used and at first I didn’t see them. I always do a few rounds though and eventually saw that they did indeed have them so I was thrilled because I knew they’d be perfect! They were also in pristine condition 🥰. Apparently though, bacarra roses (deepest/dark red) were unavailable at both wholesalers and the red they had was pretty bright so I found deep red sweethearts and deep red sprays for her daughter’s bouquet.

Brought the tulips home and put them in water with a penny to get them to stand up straight. Arranged the spray and sweetheart roses with babies breath and Italian ruscus, handle wrapped in black ribbon. Then I made the tulip boutineer with two tulips and some Italian ruscus, wrapped in a royal purple ribbon secured with a pearl pin and boxed it up. Then I went to arrange the tulips and after putting just the tulips together, with their own leaves, they just looked so beautiful in their simplicity so I conversed with Lindsy and decided to leave them as they were and wrapped the handle with lavender ribbon and secured with pearl pins. These tulips truly are stunning- they remind me personally, of lace. Perfectly fringed but still very delicate looking. They all turned out beautiful. I was a little over half of her budget, which I always strive to be under, too.

Lindsy, thank you for taking Tara/Julie’s referral and for trusting me to provide you with what you guys were wanting. I’m so glad those tulips were there and that all of this came out perfectly. I hope your kiddos have an amazing time tonight! Would love to see pictures!

Hi friends!

Ya’ll are keeping me BUSY! Between my 9-5, my kiddos, keeping up with housework and Blossom Babe… things have been non-stop it feels like for the last few weeks! Thank you all SO much for spreading word of Blossom Babe to your friends/family! I appreciate it so much!

Late post but I forgot to post this…
Michelle reached out for her daughter’s volleyball tournament flowers for her and three other girls, plus single roses for five of the opposite team’s members.

They came out great but I was super bummed that I couldn’t find white Anenomes with black centers because they would have been PERFECT!

Rios colors are black, white, yellow, green…
I used yellow roses, white roses, white snap dragons, bells of Ireland, yellow gladiola, yellow gerbera with VERY dark brown (almost black) centers, white carnations and baby’s breath with greenery. Wrapped up in white with black trim wrap, with a black and green metallic ribbon.

The girls won in three sets 🥰

Hello friends!

This was my biggest job to date and truly a labor of love 🩷

Here are pictures of most of the work I did the last two days for my sisters best friends wedding.

But here is a list of what was made:
6 ft lemon leaf garland
Two 8 ft lemon leaf garlands
Two 18 ft lemon leaf garlands
1 Bridal bouquet
1 pocket boutonnière
8 bridesmaid bouquets
4 wrist corsages
10 medium sized vase arrangements- 8 that were used as aisle decor and then repurposed on tables, one for the dessert table and one for the gift table
10 sets of three bud vases
2 Large Column pieces
2 medium ground pieces
1 medium piece for the bar
4 small ground pieces- 2 for welcome sign, 2 for seating chart

Going to let myself sleep until noon tomorrow 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank god for best friends- Tara, who is my honorary Blossom Babe assistant, not only helped me transport this all 45 minutes away, but also helped me with set up 🥰
But I did make it all except the lemon leaf garlands, however, I did add the flowers to them

We used ALL white- which is a daunting task because you have to be careful it doesn’t turn brown.
White ranunculus, hydrangea, escimo roses, spray roses, white snapdragons, lisianthus, and Israelian ruscus greenery.

Kaley and Andrew- I love you both so very much. You both are two of THE hardest working, driven, kind, funny, steadfast, loving people and Andrew is literally the most polite man I’ve ever met. I’m so very happy for you both and a love like yours, truly, is so rare. I do not have to wish you luck because I know you don’t need it.

Hi again! Here is the rest of my job today 🥰 Gloria’s daughter is getting married today and she asked for a few things since they had already hired a florist but she loved what I came up with for the engagement party so, I agreed to make a lil magic. Her wedding is up in Plaverville at the Sequoia Mansion. Gloria asked for four Large/full arrangements with white and blush as the colors and she provided vases of her choice, she asked for a throw bouquet, two lavender wrist corsages and two white/blush corsages and also a bag of petals. I used hydrangea, blush lisianthus, blush garden sweetheart roses, white sweetheart roses, escimo white roses, blush/peach stock flower and green hanging Amaranthus 🥰 I WILL say that white/cream and blush is my favorite wedding combo. It’s just very romantic feeling. However, my wholesaler had little pink (which we wanted to stray from) and even more little blush 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I actually snagged the last three packs of standard white roses (Escimo). So that could have gone better but I think it still came out beautiful. I also need to do a little research on how to get the amatanthus to hang/droop better because the stem was too firm so if either broke when I tried to bend it or it presented as up and outward (if that makes sense).

Corsages are NOT easy peasy. They are a little complicated and can be messy as you use a special floral glue and that stuff is ROUGH to get off your hands! Those took the longest just to get situated, bows made and assembled. The mechanics are always different too depending on if it’s a pin on, or a wrist- and for the wrist, they have 3-4 different options 🤦🏻‍♀️

My son Cole accompanied me on the ride up in exchange for candy and an Icee 😂
He made sure nothing tipped over and that everything stayed secure 🩷 It was nice to have company and in very grateful my sons not only like to be with me still (as pre-teens 😂) but that they like to help.

As always, I was rushing against the clock so I forgot to take nice pictures so I snapped some as we left the venue. I wish I would have gotten better ones to capture the romantic essence of them and the details 🥰

I hope Sydney and Aiden have a wonderful wedding today and also share a lifetime of love ahead. Weddings are truly such an honor to lend a hand to in the form of florals.

Happy Friday! Had a small wedding job today. Barely had time to finish it between working my 9-5 yesterday, doing my mom thing, prepping and arranging before an early afternoon drop off today 🥵 Mother of the bride/groom and grandmother of the bride/groom corsages. Luckily, one of the twins played assistant today and went for the drive up to the Sequoia Inn in placerville with me m, made sure everything stayed in one piece on the way up and helped me bring things in. He also accepts icees as payment so it worked out. Will post the Toss bouquet and the arrangements here shortly!

I cannot. These garden/cabbage roses were pristine. They almost looked fake! They are so beautiful that even other florists at the wholesaler were commenting how they wish they could use them in an event.

Just had a small wedding job for a cousin of a friend. I also made three wrist corsages and three boutineers.

Used white sweetheart roses, pink/peach spray roses, white hydrangea, pink/peach garden roses and dusty miller greenery to give it a soft and antique look. She wanted peonies originally but it’s a spotty time now for availability. May/ June are typically the best months. But peonies were a no-go and I turned the corner and saw these and they pretty much took my breath away. I hope the bride was as stunned by their beauty as I was. The Dusty miller greenery really gave it a soft, romantic, antique feeling and honestly this is pretty much what I wanted when I got married but I wanted succulents incorporated too 🥰

I’ve got one REALLY large wedding job coming up this fall, and will be creating some installations for a co-workers daughters wedding at the end of August. However, I really like doing these smaller scale jobs with a pretty bridal bouquet and a few corsages and boutineers. It also makes it possible for brides to afford it. If you go to a traditional florist or store front, bridal bouquets alone will start you at $200. Just because they’re bridal 🤷🏻‍♀️and the starting price ones are never really impressive. I found a very similar one to the one I made that a florist charged $300 for 😳

Blossom babe essentially started blooming when I did the flowers for my wedding. I couldn’t afford a florist and didn’t want to use fake flowers so I did some research, found a place that sold to the public and we bought a ton and put together my bride bouquet and my bridesmaids put theirs together and I pumped out some table arrangements and boutineers and corsages. While there was room for improvement 🤣 I realized how much I loved doing it. Although looking back, it was a lot of work and I was stressed out and needed more time. Lol

So, now I’m able to provide quality floral pieces of all kinds, for brides that don’t want to break the bank (for the most part- sometimes depending on what someone wants, the flowers, supplies and what’s needed is just costly-flowers are not cheap!). I also JUST do this on the side and have my 9-5 still- for many reasons. 1. I’m still new to the industry and building my business 2. I know everyone likes making money, myself included but I’m able to stay relatively inexpensive because it’s not my ONLY form of income. I know if this is meant for me to do full-time, I’ll gain more business and with more experience, I can justify charging more. I also TRULY LOVE doing what I do. Picking the flowers out, gathering and arranging… it does something for my soul 3. I DO love my 9-5 🤣 I have an amazing job that takes care of me and my family. Thats hard to find these days. 4. I can do business with who I want to do business with, instead of feeling like I have to take any business I get. I’m going to be honest and say I’ve heard absolute nightmare stories of customers that are irrational, illogical, unreasonable, unkind and just rude. I won’t tolerate that and as a result they will not receive my services. Especially from strangers? Uh no. I have boundaries 🩷 I would never want to be treated less than I treat others.

I have mostly provided services to relatives, friends, co-workers and/or friends of these same people… word of mouth. It has been working better than I ever expected and I am just humbled by and grateful for referrals. If you know anyone that thinks they can’t afford flowers, but wants them, sent them my way and we will see what we can do 🩷

Of course, I am happy to create for other events, holidays, “just because” flowers, funerals…

Event views 😍 did a huge bridal shower event today in EDH. My first on site assembling project. Absolutely gorgeous home with a perfect view of Folsom lake from their backyard. The house was so big, that after I did about 8 arrangements, I couldn’t find them all after they were placed. Of course I forgot to take pictures. But here are some…

Gosh, I am so grateful for Blossom Babe 🩷 coming to be. Used were Nena (?) roses- which I’ve never used or even seen before. They were so delicate and beautiful in color! White snapdragons, white hydrangea, white lisianthus, and pink orchids. I also “branched” out and used silver dollar eucalyptus.

Then I went and decided to cruise by my old house from over a decade ago. It was so nostalgic to take the drive and it was literally on the way to this home. My old House is the one with the truck in front. Miss how quiet it is up here and the views.
