We are a family owned & operated flower farm in Northeast Georgia serving Franklin, Habersham, Banks, and Stephens with summer subscription bouquets and pop up sales at local businesses.

Believe it or not, during the snow and ice, the best practice is to *uncover* our spring field. The frozen precipitation forms a natural insulation which is safer for the plants than a collapsed fabric tunnel covered in snow that might smother them. But now the fabric is back on until either more snow/ice or those lovely spring days.

I think living seasonally is such a healthy approach to life. Getting outside and appreciating the beauty of a season that is *not* filled with our favorite things cultivates gratitude in a time when we are perhaps prone to wishing the cold away.

Happy Monday! What's on your to-do list this week? Grab a few minutes digging in the dirt. It'll do you good. 😉 Our fields were filled with activity this weekend: bed making in the new field, fall planted beds getting mulched and more seeds and seedlings planted, and leaves being raked into piles for shredding for more mulch. Luckily we had a very enthusiastic young farmer who did it the leaf pile all by himself!
