Bridesmaids IN THE WOODS! These ladies were exceptional! ➡️**Attention BRIDES!** Surround yourself with this kind of bridesmaids! The ones that will enjoy the day with you, and make the day all about you. Good bridesmaids can help you navigate one of the most beautiful days of your life, and the not-so-good ones can stress you out to the max! They usually show red flags very early in the process...don't feel shy to cut them off your bridal party.

"Can you bring a few flowers for the cake?" - this is a question I get more frequently than I would like to admit! (Keep reading to know more about the piece of art featured in this post!) Even though I asked during the consultation, the cake flowers are often not taken seriously into consideration when preparing the budget for the wedding. Then, closer to the wedding day (or on the wedding day!) here comes the question! Well...these are my 5 cents on this topic:

🍰 The cake is one of the focal items of a wedding and deserves a nice presentation. Even if you are not a cake person, or if you are offering a donut wall instead of a cake, make sure it is wedding standard!

🌸 Flowers for the cake shouldn't be just any stem. They need to be meticulously selected so your cake pictures are pristine! They need to match your wedding flowers, style, and color palette.

💲Cake flowers need to be included in your flowers budget if they are not sugar flowers provided by the baker.

🤔 Make sure you coordinate who's decorating your cake with the flowers! In most cases, it's either the baker or the florist (unless you want your friend or auntie to do it, and use your wedding cake as their experiment!) But, if that is not the case, there will be a cost associated with the designing time that needs to be put into decorating a cake PLUS making sure all safety measures and techniques are in place while doing it!

In this picture, the cake was created by Shannon in collaboration with the bride, Mary .marys.pics who sketched the design for her wedding cake. Shannon is one of the best wedding cake artists out there! For this wedding, I provided the flowers, she decorated the cake. It was perfection!

As we come to the end of the year, I just want to say THANK YOU 2024! You were a challenge for Azul Creations! Deciding to walk away from corporate to embark on this adventure was a tough decision but the best one! After serving 34 couples on their wedding day, one Quinceañero, and two private events, I can tell with confidence that we got this! Has it been easy?? Not at all. But it's been so rewarding. Thank you to my husband and my girls who are always by my side 100%. It would've been impossible without you! Thanks to all the couples for trusting us with your wedding floral designing, thanks to all the colleagues, freelancers, Venue owners, coordinators, photographers...I mean, it really takes a village to make events happen! We thank God for his blessings!

We are all committed to making 2025 even better!
