Oscar and Cera, two very different cats. Oscar is a morning cat, but only until he has his fill. Cera has conversations with the birds and butterflies. They’re helping me become a cat dad.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with old friends, family and clients...at the same time. When I got the call from Ashley that she wanted me to shoot their family photos, it warmed my heart. See, many years ago I photographed her senior photos. Then after she fell in love with my friend's Rusty and Ebbin's son Chad, I photographed her wedding. Then Cayla, Chad's sister got married and photographed her wedding too. Now they have two great boys and the Rusty and Ebbin are grandparents. My friends are growing up and the happiness, laughter and smiles are too.

One thing I love about being a photographer in my hometown for my entire life and career is the relationships and friendships I've made along the way. When I was a teenager (the 80s), Kay Vickery (the mother of the bride) helped get my career moving by introducing me to Nikon cameras. That was a big deal.

Being a family photographer means even more when you know your clients like family. It was a an honor to spend time with this bunch on this special day and a pleasure to help preserve these memories to be treasured for years to come.

Today I had the honor and privilege of photographing my pastor and friend, Dr. George Anderson's family and their families. In spite of a few raindrops everything went just as it should. Many of you may know that I followed a passion that began in high school and have been a photographer my entire working life. I've been truly blessed with a talent in this trade, the path it has taken me down and the people I have met along the way. Over the past twenty years Brother George has helped keep me in the faith and his biblical leadership through the Word has been instrumental in my success to lead me to become more like the man God intended me to be. It was a sincere pleasure smiling and laughing with his family today. May God bless you with a smile two as you enjoy some of these happy faces.
