The New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc Welcome to the New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc., a 501(c)3 civic organization based in Cartersvil L. Kelley, (10) Theodore Kellogg, and (11) Walter A.

New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, was established on February 22, 1962. Eleven men began donating their time, effort and resources to form an organization which would help the community of Bartow County. This group of men envisioned an organization which would bridge the gap and ease the transition from segregation to integration without destroying the com

munity. The organization’s mission was to work for the betterment of all citizens of Bartow County; to seek the election of the best qualified candidates; to work for better job opportunities for African- Americans; and to assist in the educational progress. The Founding Fathers were: (1) Arthur Carter, (2) William Roberson, (3) Elder Marvin O. Jones, (4) William Wade, (5) George Hendricks, Sr., (6) Eugene Dean, Sr., (7) Luther Jackson, (8) James Tinch, (9) Reverend L. Johnson, Sr. In the face of relentless oppression and unmerciful persecution, these true pioneers of the Bartow County Community, not only braved adversity of epic proportions, but persevered, flourished, and chartered a course that would promote racial harmony without losing “our” identity. In 1975, the organization purchased land near Cassville, GA, where its present facility is located. Twenty eight years later, the organization renovated and expanded the facility. The facility is now a major venue for community events. Today, the organization’s on-going projects include mentoring programs for young African-American males; academic scholarships; holiday gift card giveaways; Feed the Community Thanksgiving Dinner; tutorial preparation for Standardized Testing within the local school systems; teen summits and providing assistance to those in need. In addition, each year the organization sponsors the following fundraisers: The Walter A. Roast; Memorial Day Barbeque and a Reverse Raffle.

From the Georgia NAACP... "What Happens When You Don't Vote"
• You have no voice
• You don't count
• You have no input into shaping your community and the world in which you live!
• Not voting means you do not exercise your RIGHT, therefore other people speak for you in the government
• You have no right to complain
• If you don't vote someone else will

If you ever wondered why lawmakers propose and support the laws and regulations they pass? It is because the majority of people want those things. The majority is not meant to represent the population/community as a whole, but a majority of VOTERS. Most politicians do not care for the opinions of people that don't vote. Please get registered and please vote! This is what we mean by making your voice heard!
