Don't forget we are having a jam this Thursday the 14th from 6 to 8! Food,fun, and great music as always AND a party on the 16th 7 to ? The party is just adults sharing their favorite treats or junk food and games! We will have Eucher tables set up, Yatzee, charades, and who knows what else:) Come join in on the fun either or BOTH nights! BYOD:)

Three weeks ago this bride thought she was getting married in 2024. Family members arriving from Alaska prompted a Nov. 2023 wedding! Thank you Kolby and Shelby for trusting the Marick Event Center with your special day! Everything was picture perfect and so much fun! I loved that you were able to use so much from the Something Borrowed Shop!

Chris Craney will be stopping in to introduce himself and invite everyone to his first Carthage concert on our out side stage at the Community Center this Friday from 7 to 9. Chris plays acoustic guitar and specializes in the Souther Rock genre. Let's give him a warm Carthage welcome and a good crowd! The weather Friday is suppose to be perfect!

You have probably noticed that Carthage now has a beautiful stage on the north side of the Ercell Beaver Community Center. The intention is that it will facilitate concerts, community activities, presentations, church services, Santa’s town visit, and a host of other activities (all free to the community)! Even though there is a lot still to do, the stage is up and ready for it’s inaugural event! This Thursday evening, Oct.12th, starting at 6 (weather permitting) Carthage will be treated to her first Open Jam by local musicians. So bring a chair, maybe a blanket, and a little cash to throw in the “Stage Fund” Donation bucket. Although the invitations have just gone out to musicians, the talented Rob Winters, Mike Small, and Charlie Watkins have already committed to play! Please come out and show your support.

Oh what a night! Lots of friends, great music, good food (especially home made apple pie!) Parade Marshall Mark Rozzell, lots of first timers! Tonight just couldn't have been better! Thank you all for your support! Next Jam will be Sept. 14th. I hope this just keeps getting bigger 'cause it sure is fun!
