Feeling Incredibly grateful to Nancy Hoogenboom with Daily Etiquette and Sydney Edwards Dunn with Sydney Dunn Etiquette.

I started my etiquette training with Nancy in 2021 because of my love for tea and continued with her children, teen and business etiquette certification programs. After teaching charm school and charm summer camp for a couple of years, I shared that I also wanted to teach cotillion. She then introduced me to Sydney who invited me to participate in her Cotillion Launch Collective last year. I am now using her program to launch East Texas Cotillion in Panola County for the first time.

Both of these ladies have been intrumental in helping me build Polite East Texas. I am so grateful for their expertise, patience, creativity and for their friendship.

So incredibly grateful for Catering by Marlene and her daughters Tori & Allie for helping me create a unique Victorian dinner experience for dear friends! The food was mouthwatering & the service exceptional! Look at this incredible menu: Lady Mary canapés, sausage & apple stuffed mushrooms, caprese wreath, ceasar salad, rolls, Cornish game hen, Duchess whipped potatoes with a Fricasse gravy, green beans wrapped in bacon and for dessert…Yorkshire bread pudding with rum sauce!

Day 2 was so much fun! Today, Miss Sarah taught the girls a fancy napkin folding. They learned why we RSVP to an invitation, how early to show up to a party, how to set the table for dinner, and all about having good manners, followed by a teacup decorating activity. We can’t wait for the formal tea party and charming graduation tomorrow! Thank you, Kimberly Maxey Photography for beautifully capturing our day 2 of Charm Camp!

That’s a wrap! Just completed the Jr. Hi Manners Matter Combo Class. They learned introductions and how to make positive first impressions. We then moved to the dining room and they learned how to set the table and practiced good meal manners. (They all promised to help mom & dad clear the table and help with the dishes 😉)

Tea parties at the Glaze Manor actually started with my broken heart wanting to feel something different...by doing something different (that I loved). My first tea party in the Glaze Manor was Mother's Day 2018. It gave me the first opportunity to share my story in hopes of changing the conversation around this time of year to honor all the many ways women contribute to mothering children (still honoring mothers without alienating others).
