I’ve had so many pinch me moments in the first year and some change of owning Golden Flora. One happened a couple weeks ago when @theknotworldwide / @theknot emailed me.
They needed florals for a networking event for wedding professionals (😱) they were hosting and had gotten my name from someone I had sent flowers to (hi Katie!) earlier this year.
I was given their branding colors, scoped out the venue online, and rannnn with it.

Wedding professionals. Prom parents. Kind friends- this is the video you need to bookmark: How to securely attach a boutonniere!
1. Place boutonniere in the middle of the lapel
2. Turn the lapel over. Insert pin from the back into the base of the flowers (usually the thickest part of the stem) then come back out on the underside.
3. Repeat at a criss cross diagonal.

Instead, try:
1 piece of greenery 1.5 to 2x as tall as your vase
3 flowers at 3 different heights
(biggest bloom should go at the base of your vase)
Now you have a miniature arrangement that looks a little more special than a single stem.

Pluck off the guard petals! These are the outer layer petals that most often get damaged during transport from the grower to the seller.
Note: If you start plucking, and the layers continue to be bruised/damaged, the rose is old or poor quality.

1. Hold your hand loosely in the shape of a fist
2. Make a greenery nest with angled stems
3. Insert flowers from above maintaining a circular shape and balance
4. Rubber band and trim stems
The first (and 2nd and 3rd times) will be wonky and unnatural, but I promise you the more you do it the easier it will get🤓
